Ian McShane as Wednesday is brilliant though, as is Pablo Schreiber's portrayal of Mad Sweeney/Leprechaun. Starting Le Mans: Racing is Everything now, new docuseries, just enough time to get hyped for 24 hours of Le Mans next weekend, hehe. Just watched the latest episode of The Son, easily one of the best shows currently on TV for me, @Viva la FCB you have to check it out if you haven't yet!!!

Haha, I'm not a fan of Moby Dick myself, it's a tough read... My personal genre favourites are definitely Jules Verne's The Adventures of Captain Hatteras, Jack London's The Sea Wolf and Rafael Sabatini's Captain Blood.

I love historical fiction and sea novels in particular (although more nautical adventures like Jules Verne), so I've been enjoying this so far There's a lot of investment in nautical detail though, so it can get a bit exhausting sometimes due to all the terminology, descriptions of the ships, maneuvers, etc.

Started Patrick O'Brian's The Mauritius Command today, a part of historical naval fiction series set during the Napoleonic Wars.

His ankle injury could have been one of the reasons, I suppose. He played the last matches of the season with torn ligaments, maybe now he needs time to let it heal properly? Otherwise, no idea, he deserves to be in that squad.

It's a topic that I've always been extremely interested in and I try to follow the latest developments as best as I can. I find the idea of designing machines that are able to think, learn and perceive extremely fascinating, not to mention the somewhat sci-fi idea of self-awareness. I think AI has a lot of potential to improve our lives, especially when it comes to health and medicine, space exploration, science and industry, as they are cost-effective, can operate in pretty much any conditions and achieve greater precision and accuracy with low chances of error compared to humans. At the same time, it obviously has downsides as if machines are preferred over actual humans by employees, we will have a bigger problem of unemployment and job security than any time in history, so there's definitely a risk of social problems that would arise as a result. My biggest worry is probably the growing dependency on machines in general, resulting in diminishing mental and cognitive abilities of humans in a long-term. There's also huge concerns of misuse of AI in general.

It's brilliant! I'm not a big e-book reader as I hate not having a proper book in my hands, but I couldn't put it down. Extremely well written, well developed characters, good story. Definitely one of the best modern sci-fi books!

I usually prefer travelling to less developed countries as well, mostly because there are more contrasts, they tend to be less predictable and less affected by the negative side of globalisation. While differences between developed western countries obviously still exist, the life there (especially in big cities) is essentially the same with relatively slight variations - same infrastructure, same array of cafes, restaurants, museums and monuments, same entertainment, same nightlife; it all looks pretty much the same and for me, it gets boring after a while.
