  1. Know a Villa fan who says they've looked awful in pre-season and there's some disquiet about the new signings, obviously pre-season means little in terms of performance but the signings just seem to be over the hill toss so far, barring Terry. Elmohamady would fit into the old toss cateogry if you get him from us too.
  2. Off tomorrow, hopefully be entertaining as it's in the balance at the moment. England collapsed despise one of roots finest innings. Still nice to see two countries who play proper cricket seriously. Sick of t20 and one day, India has ruined cricket.
  3. Lacazette is better than Giroud, so a good signing for me. Losing Sanchez to Manchester City would be madness though, it will surely derail any title challenge and bolster a rival's. There's more important things than money, if he must go he should be sold abroad and even then for a huge fee.
  4. Are Liverpool planning on playing without a striker again then?
  5. It's gone as hilariously badly as it could have done so far, the UK is in its worst political crisis since the war because of Brexit. You've only got to look at the pro-Brexit people on here to see how badly this country is in the mire. We've now got a government based on pure bribery. This isn't even funny, schadenfreude about the Tory incompetence anymore, and I'm not suggesting Labour are going to answer everything, but it's worrying how poorly this country is being governed at the moment.
  6. Rome was absolutely incredible as a city, never been anywhere with such beauty continuously. Puts a city like London, which I love, well in the shade. Will definitely go back, maybe in a cooler month as the heat did make getting around difficult at the peak of the day, hopefully include Florence too. Hoping to get to Berlin towards the end of the year.
  7. Zola is one my favourite authors, Therese Raquin is brilliant but the beast within and Germinal are my favourites. Good socialist too.
  8. I enjoy a social cigarette or two when drinking with friends who smoke, trying to stop that now. Did smoke properly for about 1 year but was never heavy, it's never felt like a craving for me but I suppose many people say that.
  9. Delusional. England are the biggest embarrassment going in terms of international football, culture, fans, style of play and get routinely humiliated. Anyone jealous of England football team has a serious personality disorder.
  10. Jealous of what? There's nothing to be jealous of.
  11. The Premiership is a shambles in terms of quality so no reason he can't go on, won't be at Manchester City though.
  12. How do you block people on this? Sick of this prick's posts.
  13. The phrasing may come across odd but he's not really being disrespectful. As the lad above says, there aren't any clubs that operate the same way as Barca or Bayern in the Premiership. One of the reasons is that more clubs have a chance of winning things in England at the moment, whereas for Bayern it's almost impossible to not win something and likewise Barca. Manchester City are not a club on that level and are also coming from relative mediocrity, he's building instead of maintaining (although he played a huge role in turning Barca into the club they now are).
  14. I'm also going to Malta, in July. Supposed to be roasting. Going to Rome in June too, can't wait.
  15. It's gimp behaviour, Ronaldo behaviour in fact.
  16. Why's he got his own shirt up there? The bad nobhead.
  17. Sure I saw Tom Davies by the Metquarter yesterday.
  18. Canel-Golovkin is exciting, don't know who I want to win that one. Think Golovkin will have enough, just.
  19. It was his most exuberant, he got drawn in and really should have won the fight. In terms of boxing, he boxed much better from about 2004 till 2012. I get people love Joshua, and he did really well. Let's not make out he beat a peak boxer though, he beat someone who is 41 and fought one of his most open ever fights.
  20. It still wasn't peak Klitschko, it was the last hurrah of an old man.
  21. Holgate wasn't an Everton product, he was taken from Barnsley like Stones I think.
  22. Messi was always the archetypal big game player, I've never seen a player dominate a Champions League final like he did in 2011. I saw it suggested he may be moved to a central midfield position shortly, which would be an excellent move for Barcelona.
