  1. Its really kinda scary man. You have Dem's like Joe Manchin literally voting down his own bill on voting rights that he cosponsored a couple years back on the grounds that the GOP doesnt like it. I focus on him because hes one of the main culprits in dieing on the hill over the filibuster and literally preventing the Dem's from getting shit done. He claims to believe in bi partisanship yet the evil fucking tortoise McConnel puiblically states he will do everything in his power to block everything the Dem's try and pass. Im ranting now but anyways the voting rights stuff is really, really scary. They're trying to eradicate democracy and not only that they are doing it in nearly plainsight. And your'e right not only is it in plainsight but not nearly enough Dem's are speaking out about it. The new networks such as ABC, MSNBC, CNN etc do call alot of the shit out but the biggest problem now is noone that supports or votes for these cretins see's any of these messages anymore and if they do facts are easily dismissable as "fake news" They watch Newsmax or Fox news and take everything said there as gospel as their fearless der leader speaks bullshit from Florida. Fox literally didnt cover the impeachment Im fucking flabergasted at that. And to their credit the Dem's did a fantastic job at the impeachment and I wish more of the GOP supporters actually paid any attention to that. You're bang on again though this GOP to borrow a phrase from Cuomo isnt that of old they are the Retrumplicans plain and simple. When Liz fucking Cheney isnt conservative enough and being forced out of their party what the actual fuck is going on. Like Obama says though its actually shocking how many of these cretins tuck their balls between their legs and go full Retrumplican to keep their jobs without a second thought. When Margarie Taylor fuckface still has a voice and isnt condemed for the verbal diarrhea thats constantly shitting out all over the public and the Country there just is no hope.
  2. God its good to hear from this man again. As usual hes absolutely 100% bang on and tapped in. I do think hes a little wrong on the crisis scale though, its without a doubt crisis time.

    NHL

Ah I gotcha. See as a Canadian I have no thought in my mind of affiliating them with Atlanta, infact I had completely forgotten about Atlanta even having a hockey team

    NHL

I dont bangwagon on any Canadian teams but the Jets are the one team in Canada I wouldnt mind actually go on a run and win a cup. Alot of likeable players, very strong fwd depth and an allstar goalie, why dont you like them out of curiosity? Will be interesting to see the crossover though, I think Colorado kills Montreal but they might have a chance to close up shop against Vegas. Kind of like how the canucks did in games 5 through 7 last season but Montreals better and can definitely do that better. Also hope Islanders beat out the Bruins, cant stand anything fucking Boston.
  5. Saw a few quotes from Nat Phillips about our boy Thiago. Take good care of him, hes a beautiful man.
  6. Thats a tough one to follow. If you havent checked it out yet I would highly recommend The Queens Gambit though, thats what Ive gone onto after Dark
  7. Started the Mandalorian... 3 episodes in, pretty good so far. Just find it funny that 3 episodes is almost like a mini movie, a mini movie thats better then 2/3 new star wars movies theyve made recently
  8. A little more in depth answer for KHR here (Bild interview)
  9. Well at least you tried, I coulda sworn you would love it. Its SPACE COWBOYS basically! Tough cookie. Id recommend two that are both centered around crime. Both mini series and both basically murder mysteries. The Night Of and Mare of Easttown. Other then that have you seen Rome? All i can think of anyways, goodluck
  10. I dont recall if weve talked about it before but given your list id assume you've watched Firefly?
  11. He was set to step down at the end of his contract at the end of the year was my understanding, not really alot to it other then he figured he might as well do it this off season with all the rest of the changes anyways. Il add in what he said himself, very German statement
  12. Mare of Easttown wrapped up last night. Excellent HBO mini series, id highly recommend checking it out its a small town murder mystery. Kate Winslet is absolutely immense, its an enthrawling story on its own but Kate's character and acting are some of the best Ive seen in recent years.
  13. Sorry to hear that too. I actually had pet rats when I was a kid as well. My dad was alergic to most animals so that was one of the things we can sorta get away with. They actually made for pretty good pets but yeah unfortunately they dont have a long life expectancy. Thanks for the condolences.
  14. I dont remember the last time I cried but I just got off the phone with my mom and unfortunately my little guy is getting put down tomorrow. Pretty sudden but stage 2 liver disease was one of the main problems coupled with a few other things. Long and the short of it im going to miss you little buddy.
  15. Right I was a little surprised when we signed him to start with but on the free and in a truncated season not only was he needed but I dont think anyone could have imagined he would score 2 goals in 2 matches against PSG..... so expectations exceeded. Just for the love of god dont play him in midfield ever again please.
  16. A little surprising its a 2 year deal in the end but overall Im in favour to get this done. By all accounts hes been a great teammate and its a tough spot to find a half decent backup to play behind Lewy who seemingly never gets injured (knock on wood) and plays nearly every match.
  17. The beauty of the show is the chess almost doesnt matter, like you can substitute it with anything else really, painting, a sport idk math, definitely broadens the audience in how theyve done it. Kind of reminds me of A Beautiful Mind in some ways as well. That being said I love that its about Chess! My dad taught me when I was quite young and something we still play to this day. I dont know anything about openings or strategy mind you but I like to think im at least an average player I do know that one opening Mr Stible uses on her to check mate her in what 3 moves right off the bat there
  18. Yeah good point, he does like sci fi. I got him to start watching Raised by Wolves.... hes retired hes got the time
  19. I know I know, I plan to watch it on my own though and its up next
  20. Not really a Bayern topic anymore but I wasnt sure where else to post this bit about Klose, scary stuff. He also confirmed he also declined to join Flick with the DFB because he wants to pursure a head coaching job when hes recovered.
  21. Been watching The Queens Gambit with my father, 3 episodes in atm. Really good so far.
  22. Housing market here has been nuts for the last few years. Dipped for about 2 months when the pandemic hit and has been red hot since. Mortgage rates hit 1.5% I might not see that again in my lifetime - avg here is closer to 3%. I bought my first place (1 bdrm + den roughly 730sq ft) condo in 2013 or 2014... sold it nearly 2 years ago and moved in fulltime with my better half. Currently paying dirtcheap rent for an older basement suite as we had planned to buy a place last year after traveling. Pandemic put things in flux but ive basically got what I made off my condo for a solid down payment on hopefully a townhouse when the market cools down which is hopefully next year sometime.
