  1. I did. Didn't realise how much I did as I completed the entire thing at 97.88%. Got the rest of the spirits just because I'm a sad bastard and wanted to make it 100%.
  2. I've only done a private lobby with a few people. I remember the previous versions (Brawl and Wii U, Brawl especially) having terrible online so barely bothered. If you wanted one time, I could give you a game sometime and see how it goes (general time, time difference and all that).
  3. Went to Beijing back in 2000 and 2001. Actually quite liked it and the culture change, though was with my dad's work colleagues most of the times. Main part I remember was going to a restaurant and they brought out a duck with its head still on the plate. It was positioned staring at my 8 year old sister at the time.
  4. Didn't want to make a topic for this but I think I need to watch more It Ain't Half Hot Mum after this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-46931129
  5. Bit random this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46918009
  6. Except that due to the back door of getting into Downing Street being shut, Labour have now thrown their toys out the pram and Corbyn has decided to speak with her unless a no deal Brexit was ruled out. Surely by not talking means a no deal Brexit is more likely.
  7. As it's out next week, I'd rather go in blind.
  8. Tbh, I've thought the complete opposite. When EA tried to show it off at E3 last year, it actually turned me off more than anything. Plus with it being published by EA, you know there'll be something like microtransactions or loot boxes. The only one I've started to show more interest in (mainly because of the positivity around first impressions and the demo, but also because the release date was much closer than I thought) is the RE2 remake.
  9. It's after you complete the game that it gets harder. Have fun getting more of the moons. I agree with the AAA part in regards to bugs and glitches. While you could argue that they are bigger in scope, it is laughable that many games require a day one patch or a major installation just to play it.
  10. @ASF, I wasn't reading fully but the last Metal Gear game (Survive) was not Kojima directed at all and was basically Konami on the way to fucking up the series. In regards to FPS's and shooters in general, the only innovative shooter I can think of recently is, ironically, Nintendo's Splatoon.
  11. I felt the same way a couple of years ago (though I had one or two issues at the time). Basically didn't feel like playing many games at all due to a mixture of the bullshit you mentioned above and games just simply not being fun. Thankfully, when I decided to play Yakuza 0, that gave me the buzz again. As for me, think I've pretty much finished Smash Bros Ultimate in terms of getting the fighters and completing World of Light, so looking to start Red Dead 2 next.
  12. May be off to Cyprus in September 2020 for a mates wedding, apparently close to Aiya Napa. Need to get the flights and hotel sorted soon.
  13. Then people wonder why EA are constantly finding ways to rinse there sheep more.
  14. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-01-08-fifa-19-youtubers-buying-thousands-of-pounds-worth-of-fut-team-of-the-year-packs-reminds-us-the-odds-are-very-much-against-us Who's going to wank EA off by buying a shit ton of these?
  15. For anyone interested, there's a demo of the Resident Evil 2 remake due to launch on Friday, but with one twist. You have 30 minutes in total. Once the time's up, that's it. No more goes. Wait until the 25th January launch.
  16. Tbf, they have managed to get more support so far than they did for the Wii U (which admittedly isn't hard). The fact that Doom, Wolfenstein 2 and the Dark Souls remaster is on Switch (all adult games) shows that there must be a market there. If anything, bearing in mind the Switch's portability, I'd argue that third party indies are more important this time round for Nintendo than the 'triple A' third parties.
  17. @Cannabis, if you get Mario Kart and/or Smash Bros at some point (as well as the online subscription), let me know and I'll give you a kicking.
  18. That's Nintendo for you really. I may go back to it at some point but Smash Bros is dominating where possible atm.
  19. It's a quality game. Think I've got about 330 odd and I think that's a third of the total.
  20. I have no idea (I assume you have the limited edition or whatever it is that puts the code for the Touch version with it). I'd assume not but only thing I can think of is to try it on the eshop and see if it's accepted. Mario Odyssey is quality. Have fun.
  21. @Rick This looks pretty decent if you're still looking. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/nintendo-switch-super-smash-bros-ultimate-limited-edition-bundle-26772-ebay-shopto-3151831
  22. If it helps, you can download Football Manager Touch 2019 on the Switch as well. Imagine that alongside Mario Kart and the likes.
  23. No worries. Switch's can be difficult to get deals on as they're selling well. I was lucky last year to get Mario & Rabbids and Mario Odyssey for £300 in the Black Friday sales. I'll keep an eye out and see if there's anything about.
  24. You missed the boat a bit last month, as there were some very good deals around the Black Friday sales. The best I could find at present is the following list from Currys (of all places). https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/nintendo-tv-and-home-entertainment/gaming/gaming-consoles/430_3959_31710_1108_xx/xx-criteria.html?ntid=B~m~Nintendo The console itself tends to go around £260-£280, with the main games you mentioned between £40-£50 each so these seem ok. Alternatively, try a website called Hot UK Deals, which have people posting up deals found either instore or online. Might be worth looking there and seeing what newer Switch deals are around.
