    Tips & Bets 365

Had a very good day betting wise today, although perhaps a tad unlucky. Won only my second accumulator of the season by having Middlesbrough, Swindon, Roma, Man City and Everton. £2 on won me £51.40. It could have been more. I also had Lazio but the game was postponed. That would have been roughly another £16-17. I also had 3 matches, BTTS. Man City came in, Roma came in and the one that let me down was St Etienne v Lyon, even though I had Lyon to win. Only they would score all five.
  2. Eye opener for Loftus-Cheek and Abraham that. Wouldn't have any chance of going to the World Cup next year had they not moved out.
  3. It's the culture you are developing there, encouraging players to play the same way from senior to youth level. Yes, you may cherry pick some of the better pool of youngsters from others but you're developing that talent further in your set up, it's to be admired. I wouldn't usually watch this level of football to be honest but I'm hooked. That was quality.
  4. Just got up after my night shift and flicked on BT Sport for a bit. City's kids playing away to Napoli's kids. No joke, some of the best football you'll see at that level. Even better than some senior games, not over reacting. City 5-0 up at HT. It is a joy to watch.

Yes. It's shit here. Pretty tacky and half arsed. Plus it gives Chavs an excuse to be even more cuntish than normal. I would say the only highlight is seeing birds dressed like slags for the night in sexy witch or pussy cat outfits, but as a contented boyfriend (incase she's spying), I'm on lockdown most Saturday night's now so don't even get to see that perk.
  6. Annabelle Creation The first movie was gash. Therefore my immediate thoughts were fuck this for a game of soldiers. But the missus overruled me. What I expected was another tedious regurgitated modern day 'horror'. What I got was a pleasant but scary surprise. All in all, it's a really good watchable movie with genuine scares that hand on heart, did make me jump. For a 'prequel', it is so much better than the first film on all levels. Infact, I think it's rare these days you get a better prequel/sequel than the first. Slow enough to provide adequate build up for the scares, but fast enough to keep everything moving and on edge. From the location and atmosphere, to the sound and creepy tricks to play on your emotions, it all contributes to the scare's that occur during the film. And of course, there is that fucking doll. It's soulless stare and deceiving smile continue to give me the willies. And I really enjoyed the way the end of the movie tied perfectly into the first one, exactly where it started. Such a shame that one was so crap. 7/10

Sorry to hear that mate. If only it was cold and grey, about 8 hours of solid daylight, the beach was ice cold, the women were wearing more layers than an Onion and you had to constantly wear jeans and a coat. If only...

  11. I was told by one of my mates to watch a Netflix series called 'Big Mouth'. Just given the first few episodes a go. Not gonna lie, genuinely not sure what the fuck that was about but it was mildly amusing. What is this cartoon?

    Cooking

Stick that fish up your arse. Hate seafood. I wish I liked it but the smell is too grim. Looks impressive when dished up but it's not for me. Where I work 12 hour shifts, I don't want to waste my time cooking every time so I usually use one of my days off to make a healthy Chilli and a Curry with chickpeas and Veg and fill up 5 containers worth and freeze so I have meals ready. I also make a healthy Cottage Pie with a sweet potato mash top and got into making different soups lately with help of a soup maker. Sometimes I'll cook 3 Chicken breasts at a time and do some veg with it to make little meals in the fridge prepped and ready to heat up. I try to eat healthy on weekdays so weekends I can splurge on the bad shit with my GF.
  13. Fuck it. Let's all go to Paris. The missus will understand being 5th wheel.
  14. Brilliant info, I appreciate that. I'm not sure if we would go to see the classical music although I goggled Saint-Chapelle and it does look spectacular. I think we'd be more inclined to go to the Moulin Rouge, purely for the experience. The Jardin du Luxembourg looks amazing. I quite like the idea of us hiring bikes and going round that as well as other stops. That way we would incorporate a picnic too.
  15. Well it would be a Friday to Monday. Probably get an early flight Friday to make the most of the day and have two full days before coming back the Monday. Cheers for the feedback, it's really useful. I can definitely work with that in terms of planning what to do. These days, most cities are covered by an efficient metro service so more than happy to use this to get around Paris. Is there any preferential area's to base yourself? Like, what region would be best to stay in? Near the Eiffel Tower, on the Champs Elysee or maybe somewhere else?
  16. Been planning for next year this weekend. My GF wanted to learn a new language so I enrolled her on an adult evening class learning French. It ends in March and our two year anniversary is during this month so seems appropriate to take her to Paris. Neither of us have ever been. Any tips on location and where best to stay? I'm also researching New York for December 2018. Again, any tips on where best to stay would be appreciated. Managed to cross off a lot of the major cities to visit over the past few years so doing these two will make me quite content.

  19. Amazing how a football loving country like ourselves have fell out of love with our national side really. It shouldn't be as bad as this, especially as we've always taken pride in being patriotic and getting behind our national sides in all forms of Sport. There are several things that need to be looked at from the set up side, from who controls the England team, to lower level clubs and their youth acadamies to even scouting at grass roots level. I would question things like is it time the Premier League controlled our national team rather than the FA? Shouldn't we provide more incentive for lower league sides to develop youth and not just as a conveyor belt for a bigger club to cast the net out to 20 lower division prospects just to reject 19 of them? Should scouts focus less on the size of a kid as opposed to what skill he possesses? Do we look to create a quota where we cap how many foreigners can be selected by clubs to encourage more English players appearing at the top level? All various arguments I've seen in the past. I know it's a small thing but I'd tell you the first thing I'd do that wouldn't be radical but would at least try to get the fans back onside. I'd stop playing games at Wembley. Probably doesn't mean much to some but we should go back to having the national team 'tour' their games across the country so that every region of fan has a chance to go and watch the side. I think it's unfair to constantly have all our home games at Wembley, especially as it does it's best to alienate northern fans. Not to mention that the atmosphere is absolutely shocking, especially when a Slovenia or Lithuania come to town. This country is blessed with brilliant stadia and passionate fans, let's play our games all the way from as far as St James Park to as low as St Marys Stadium. If England are playing at a ground close to fans that don't get to see England much for whatever reason, they will clamour to go particularly as it's a 'one off' which will raise the atmosphere and help generate a better team performance. It seemed to work quite well in the Sven Goran Eriksson days when you think of games like against Turkey at Sunderland, Greece at Old Trafford, Finland at Anfield etc.
  20. Seen some absolute gash films recently that they barely deserve a review, let alone a mention. Baywatch - A mish mash of pure trash. 47 Meters down - Screamed straight to DVD. Aids. All Eyez on Me - Thought this might be interesting seeing as it's about Tupac Shakur but no, it dragged. Steaming turd. The Wall - Drawn out, heavily predictable yawn fest. Really on a bad run at the moment. I've got the new Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers to watch so really unsure if it's going to get better or worse right now.
  21. Been watching Rellik on BBC One. Interesting concept of telling a serial killer thriller but backwards so from the end to the beginning. Different for sure, a little confusing at times but actually quite intriguing and very clever. Already the plot is hinting at whether the 'right' person was justifiably killed.
  22. Currently looking to buy. I have had bids for two houses unsuccessful so far. The first one I was proper gazumped. The other party interested had a 70% deposit ready to put down which blew me out the water. Bid wise, I don't think we were miles away from the asking price so I was close. The other one I bid for wasn't long after the first bid for the other house, and whilst I liked it, I don't think I was in love with it as much as the first one. So when I was told for a third time that someone else had bid higher than me on this house, I pulled out. There get's to a point the house just isn't worth the price it's going for, especially if you don't want it enough. Since then I kind of licked my wounds a bit and stopped looking for a while but in the past few months I've gone back to actively searching. Just ridiculous though when you look at what you can get in say Leeds/Sheffield for the same price as Southampton. I'd have no problem buying something nice up North but my commitments are all down here.
  23. Went to Lisbon on Friday for a Stag weekend. Cracking city. Went to the Benfica game Friday night. Have to say @Machado, lovely stadium and a half decent game too. Locals were spot on. You have great fans.
  24. Brilliant, cheers for that. Will be all over that now.
