@Eco what's all this about Cincinatti's manager resigning over allegedly racist comments?

Just saw this myself, here is what I'm seeing -

FC Cincinnati coach Ron Jans has resigned amid investigations into his alleged use of a racial slur.

Jans has said he used the N-word while singing along to a hip-hop song during a training camp in Arizona, but MLS Players' Association executive director Bob Foose released a statement on Tuesday claiming "the narrative that the conduct here involved singing along to song lyrics is completely false," and accused Jans of creating a toxic atmosphere within the team.

The club, which confirmed Jans' departure in a statement Tuesday, had previously told ESPN that Jans "stepped away" from coaching duties while the investigation was ongoing.

"As Major League Soccer's investigation unfolded and some themes emerged, Ron offered his resignation and we agreed that it was the best course of action for everyone involved with FC Cincinnati," club president Jeff Berding said.

Peruvians in the MLS

Marcos Lopez - San Jose Earthquakes

Andy Polo - Portland Timbers

Yordy Reyna - Vancouver Whitecaps

Alexander Callens - New York City FC

Raul Ruidiaz - Seattle Sounders

Pedro Gallese - Orlando City

Edison Flores - DC United

All of them except for Reyna and Polo put us on the map well, but Oreja Flores, Raul Ruidiaz and Pedro Gallese I expect to do best. Marcos Lopez was hated at SJE last season but he's 20 so I hope he matures further from here.

Weird to imagine a 60 year old Dutch guy rapping along with some song they're listening to at training...

Kind of my thought as well. Which makes me think that this isn't the whole story.

TSN just said Cavallini is the best signing by a Canadian club.

Pablo Piatti disagrees! xD

Wonderful goal by Urruti. Though the Impact have been so average. That goal kinda just happened.

2-1

Equaliser for Houston! Think it's their first shot on target. In the 53rd minute xD

Got SJ v Toronto on. Only had it on five minutes and though the home side are chasing an equaliser (it’s 1-2), it seems to be played at a slow pace. This is petering out into a comfortable looking Toronto win (from what I’ve seen).

Que two late SJ goals...

What a free kick in the dying seconds!

Literally a minute before they were knocking it around in their own half xD

Was there an opening ceremony? I kept looking at the time and it kept getting pushed back xD

I'm gonna give Whitecaps vs SKC a watch later. Look forward to see Alan Pulido.

Absolutely shambles at the back there, and Nashville score their first ever goal.

1-1

There seems to be big optimism about the Whitecaps in Vancouver ahead of this upcoming season. I get why they are but I don't see anything in the squad to suggest they'll be much better this year. Dajome is an upgrade. That's literally it.

SKC on the other hand, I am excited to watch. Alan Pulido is a great player.

Good result for United. First time we've ever won the home opener which is nice.

On the flip side, Josef Martinez had to be subbed off with a knee injury...so that could essentially be our season there if it's serious.

Still not picked a side to follow after all these years, closest I have come is Portland but they aren’t on telly here often so it’s hard. It’s mostly the LA teams and I don’t really like either much.

That being said, I’ll whack it on tonight, especially LAFC vs Inter Miami. I fully expect an arse battering for Miami though.

I luckily have Dazn in Canada, but I agree. When they aren't being broadcast, finding them elsewhere is super difficult.
