How Hoffmann didn't score for Fortuna with that close range header, is beyond me. All he had to do was get the ball on target, but instead he fluffed his chance.

You realize he was not in the right balance, right? Not sure what the English word is, in German we'd say Rücklage.

Yes, maybe so, but it was still a big chance missed. "Rücklage", I shall remember that word. ;)

Good luck against Hoffenheim in your next match. It's a must win game really for Fortuna, especially with two very tough games against Dortmund and Leipzig coming straight after on the fixture list. The one consolation, might be the fact that Mainz also have two tough fixtures remaining against Dortmund and Leverkusen, which one would expect them to lose.

Great long range attempt from Neuhaus with a lobbed shot from his own half trying to catch Gikiewicz off his line and his attempt produced a back peddling diving save from the Polish goalie. Intelligent and spectacular effort from Neuhaus.

Neuhaus! Goal Gladbach! Enjoyed watching him recently. Had a cracking effort saved from his own half and now persists to tuck it past Gikiewicz off the post. Deserved lead.

Well Gladbach as expected, with a dominant performance in that 1st half. Neuhaus was arguably the best player on the pitch and with his excellent form this season, it's surely just a matter of time before he's called up for the German national team. If Union don't show a significant improvement in the 2nd half, then it seems inevitable that Gladbach will add to their goals tally in this game.

Ooh, Berlin back in it?

A quick goal after half-time. Close-range header after a Trimmel free-kick and an Ingvartsen assist for Andersson. On replays, very fortunate with the assist!
