Considering the unrest with the fans at the moment, maybe that factored into the decision not to sell. Imagine selling your first choice CB without a decent replacement in, they’d get killed.

I guess this is the Ben Davies thread now?

By all accounts his main assets are pace, defending space 1v1 and passing. With that, he'll fit like a glove into the way we want to play and, even if he's not better than Nat Phillips, he'll be a lot better for us. I don't want to body Nat, and he had a good game generally, but you could see how West Ham wanted to make it difficult for us to play out by pressing 10 of our players and leaving him as the free man because they simply weren't threatened by him. At 6'1, he won't be a towering presence in the air, but put him alongside Matip and we'll be fine. Really excited for this lad

Preston fans reckon he would've been worth £15m in a normal season, but coming up to the end of his contract this was Preston's last chance to get anything. £500k could be a phenomenal deal

just watched a vid of him and the guy goes to ground far to often imo. its all last ditch defending from what ive seen.
