Delighted with that win. Job done first half, tiredness showed second half. But we've managed to rest several players for Thursday and bagged 3 points despite league not being the priority.

Dewsbury-Hall fast becoming a fan favourite.

The one takeaway I have from that game is that Dewsbury-Hall could be in the England squad for the World Cup. The stuff he does really good is what Southgate wants from him central midfielders.

I'm thinking Dewsbury-Hall player of the season at this point. What a revelation he's been. Man of the match yet again.

He won't go to Qatar but he deserves to be looked at.

Earlier in the season I said he's the left footed Conor Gallagher and I meant that very much as a compliment.

I think it's probably come a little soon for him which is a shame because he's absolutely great. He's the best thing to come out of this season by a mile.

We let both Mount and Tomori play against us in the league cup and even allowed that cunt Courtois to play us in the CL semi final.

No reason we’d deny Gallagher this opportunity.

Several news outlets are now reporting its true.

You're scared.

The cup-tied rule
If the player signs for a new club in the same season, he is thus eligible for the Football League Cup, but not the FA Cup. Breaching the cup-tied rule can result in a result being declared invalid, with serious consequences for the offending club.

Ivan Toney is the joint 5th best in the league for goal contributions (16 overall) currently ahead of Ronaldo, de Bruyne, Sterling, Raphinha, Vardy, Bruno Fernandes, Saka and Sadio Mane.

Granted the last name was at AFCON, and obviously I'm not saying he's better than these players, but to be out performing them when it comes to assists and goals just goes to show how important he has been to our team this season. All the talk since January has been about Eriksen and his return and yeah, Eriksen has made a huge impact on our team, but Toney has been the absolute focal point for us the last two seasons and there were a lot of questions as to whether or not he would do a Mitrovic or step up and perform at this level. But he has been so important to how we play, give him a penalty and it's scored before he takes it, he gets goals in open play and assists, his all round gameplay is brilliant and he's always dropping deep to take a high ball or a pass and play runners in behind, he's always dropping deep to defend set pieces and even cover opposition runners if they have an overload.

I hope we keep him as long as we can but personally if I'm Leicester, Everton, West Ham or Wolves then I'm 100% looking at signing him because you're getting goals, assists and an absolute nuisance.

At what cost would Brentford sell him though?

Vardy's been injured for about 8-10 weeks (barring 2 games in March). Currently on 10 and is bound to have had 6+ contributions in that time.

I do get your point though, and agree. Definitely a handful of a striker and definitely made the transition from Championship to PL adequately. When he was out of your side he was a clear miss.

I think we were linked with him before (originally from Leicester?). I wouldn't be averse to having him in our squad once Vardy hangs up his boots or if Iheanacho is sold. He seems quite adaptable to different styles, too.
