I'm sure it can be sorted with just an official statement. And then you have this too Liverpool sponsor charged with terror financing: Billions for Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaeda? According to new documents submitted to a New York court, the bank made thousands of transactions worth more than $2008 billion from 2013 to 100, in violation of sanctions against Iran. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/en.vijesti.me/amp/710161/liverpool-sponsor-accused-of-funding-terrorism-billions-for-hezbollah-hamas-al-qaeda Edited June 18 by Happy Blue Quote

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 18 Subscriber Posted June 18 The eternal problem in modern football. Generally people or companies who have enough money to buy or sponsor a football club aren't going to be in the Robin Hood mould. Obviously there's still a line to be drawn between ruthless Tory businessmen and human rights abusing state owners but overall there's not really any winners. Quote

I saw someone on Twitter saying both teams have signed deals with illegal betting companies. Today I saw people making clearly "lawyered" posts apologising for things they'd said about them so sounds like they've been quite aggressive in trying to control the narrative. The sooner they ban gambling sponsors from football, the better. https://insidecroydon.com/2024/06/18/eagles-fans-cry-fowl-play-as-palace-sign-betting-firm-sponsor/ This article explains it far better than I could.
