Apparently Lee Carsley, born in England, but capped as a player by Ireland, will not be singing the national anthem. Quoted as saying he respects both, but does not sing either. And sounds like that is his general stance, not a political or personal statement especially for this match.

Feels like people who know him from the U21's are getting that out early for him. Not sure if there will be quite the same reaction as there used to be. But I have a feeling it will still get more press & gossip coverage than the match itself. Thankfully not as many newspapers get sold these days, so will mostly be hidden away somewhere around the internet, like that bloke trying to rubbish Blair backing Oasis, their fans & culture in the last few weeks.

England really should really beating this Finland team comfortably today. There are rare starts for Angel Gomes and Rico Lewis for England today, but England should really win this match quite comfortably, as Finland also have some inexperienced players in their line-up.

The Czech Republic also host Ukraine in Prague today. There is a rare start for the young forward Vanat today, as Dovbyk is still injured and Yaremchuk is rested and starts on the bench today. Sudakov, Tsyhankov and Brazhko also surprisingly start on the bench for this match.
