As @The Rebel CRS has been saying as the season has drawn on, Barcelona have been getting better and better. wtf. they have songs other than 'Fairytale of New York'?! Hahaha Actually Fiesta would be their most lucrative song if I remember rightly. Also more relevant to what I wanted to say...
SirBalon
Jorge Sampaoli in the stands. Obviously checking up if Messi is playing well enough to be selected.
SirBalon
It may be unpopular, but that was a penalty on Alba for me.

Administrator Stan Posted January 7, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2018 that looked like Levante's best way to get in to the game. Good goal-keeping from Ter Stegen.
SirBalon
Barça have gone down the gears a bit and at 2-0 the game isn't over... One goal from Levante and the nerves could creep in as the minutes wind down.
SirBalon
Semedo on for Dembélé... Going into a more traditional setup now which means counter attacking surely,
SirBalon
That's absolutely ridiculous from a corner... Sometimes the insistence on the short corner is frustrating for me.
SirBalon
Barça are looking to go back up the gears again... That's clearly visible and it seems to have come from Valverde who was going mental on the sidelines.

Carnivore Chris
Arnáiz has earned his la liga debut, although it would have been better to see him come on a bit earlier. The second half was a shadow of the first and it seemed as though the players took their foot off the gas. Paulinho with the 3rd sealed it though. Nice play by Messi to set it up, although it's what we've come to expect from him, magician.
Administrator Stan Posted January 7, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2018 Watching some of Villarreal vs Deportivo. Villarreal have played some really good football at times. Enjoyed watching them dominate this match on the whole and at times running rings around Deportivo. But the away side just equalised against the run of play and could gain an unlikely point here. SirBalon
The demise of Deportivo La Coruña is still bemusing to be honest. But fully deserved!

SirBalon
6 minutes ago, Stan said: why? (keep it short please?) It’s hard to keep this one short mate. When I say fully deserved I’ts not in relation to their support or anything of the sort just in case anyone interprets it that way or also the fact that out of the two Galician clubs in La Liga my affinities and sympathies sway towards Celta Vigo. Simply because they ripped off the local council who had been helping the club for decades by charging them 1 cent for the rent of the stadium (Riazór is a municipal stadium and thus belongs to the local government). They then overspent during a bunch of years and failed to put in place a wage structure which was in tune with their status and their income... They also messed around with taxes and were fined for this which crippled the club adding everything else with that. In other words everything was self inflicted and the man (the then president César Lendoiro) who put them on the world’s football map for almost a decade became their own personal demon who also doomed them to mediocrity for possibly their entire future. Administrator Stan Posted January 7, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2018 what a goal from Daniel Wass! Tremendous counter and sweet chip over Keylor Navas. Lovely stuff.
Administrator Stan Posted January 7, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2018 immediate response from Real though! Maxi Gomez playacting during a Celta attack. Real counter themselves now, Kroos plays in Bale who slides it past the Celta keeper. 1-1.
Administrator Stan Posted January 7, 2018 Administrator Share Posted January 7, 2018 and now it's 2-1 to Real! Barely 2 minutes after equalising, Bale nets his 2nd. Times his run perfectly and deftly flicks it to make it 2-1. Celta's defenders were too static.
