Dave Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Danny Welbeck will not face any retrospective action for an alleged dive during Arsenal's 3-1 Europa League win over AC Milan last Thursday. The Gunners forward went down after a challenge from left-back Ricardo Rodriguez to win, and then convert, a penalty to level the game. UEFA's disciplinary body have since reviewed the incident and have decided to take no further action against Welbeck, meaning he will be available for the first leg of Arsenal's quarter-final clash against CSKA Moscow on April 5.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted March 19, 2018 Subscriber Posted March 19, 2018 I assume it's because they don't actually give punishments then. I mean it can't be because he didn't dive.
Administrator Stan Posted March 19, 2018 Administrator Posted March 19, 2018 Pathetic. Was there even any contact? At most, there was a slight touch on his chest. He's taken the piss with the way he went down (read, dived) and so have UEFA with this decision.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted March 19, 2018 Subscriber Posted March 19, 2018 I know it's UEFA not the FA but this still applies: Top 6 player in not getting punished for diving shocker.
bozziovai Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 uefa chose not to punish him due to his graceful acting. fack uefa.
