why is Marco Reus not in Dortmund's list? Thought he was born and bred in Dortmund?

He is, but he left to Ahlen when he was 16 and then moved to Gladbach a few years later. I think the rule says you have to play for a club for at least 3 years between your 15th and 21st birthday to be considered trained in the club.

A more interesting figure would be the average age of the squad of each Club.  After the world cup successes for younger players the new 04 team picture looks like an old folks home gathering so my guess would be that if it stays hot we will need to add to the medical team in Gelsenkirchen. Mind you the German National team lost out due to the coaches desire to keep his old - past it - members of the squad on the pitch. Must be catching!:$

Robin Bormuth will be the first back-up defender for us this season behind Ayhan and Hoffmann. Great bloke, tall, good headers. Old school defender who lacks a bit on the technical side.

Other than that, I think Anderson Lucoqui has potential to be a decent full back. Duman has featured here and there, but never saw anything amazing from him. Can't say anything about the other guys. Wiesner got a few minutes when Wolf had to be substituted due to injury. Looked decent and confident enough.

Nobody asked me about this, but you're welcome anyway :4_joy:
