How far could this England team go?

Inaugural Nations League victors? Euro 2020 winners in their own backyard? Winter World Cup winners in 2022? All three? Or will they suffer the same curses of England sides in years gone by and be defeated in Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals?

I wouldn't put us in the category of being "favourites" yet in any major competition but we shold be considered dark horses at least.

We've just beaten a Spain team with three smash and grab goals that you'd probably not score all again if played the match again...and then got battered in the second half.

Good win, highlights that we have a dangerous front three, but also highlights that we're no better at controlling a game now than before. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, slow steps forward...still have nations like Belgium, France, Spain to name a few that will spank us 9 games out of ten.

Next step is to look better than and get results against teams like Croatia, Colombia etc.

I agree with all of this - there's encouraging signs from England for the future, but we'll really need to improve upon the midfield if we want to be considered genuine contenders.
