14th in their return to the Football League, 7pts off the play-off's, a million miles away from relegation danger and he's been there about six months. What an odd decision.

Got to be more to this.

Was he the one that went over and spoke to angry fans after a heavy away defeat too?

Not many managers would face up to that, fair play to him.

Yeah, that was him. They did have a bad defeat at localish rivals Doncaster recently but I can't see it being a results based issue.

I really do not understand football clubs and their owners sometimes :/

I can only imagine there's been a huge bust-up between him and those higher up the heirarchy and angry words were exchanged or 'irreconcilible differences'.  Maybe things were boiling in the background and they came to blows over the weekend?

4 wins in 13 games. Only got the job in November so had one transfer window to do anything.

And let's not forget he lost his most prolific player which will affect any team in league two.

Good appointment at that level, last season he had Cardiff on the brink of the play-offs in the Championship. He should have bided his time a bit after leaving instead of jumping into those car crash clubs.
