  1. Yes, it's all become complicated and confusing with different decisions being made. But as you suggest, that Rapid Vienna v LASK match could be critical in deciding who ends up in that coveted 2nd position in the league table.
  2. Yes, LASK are now third in the Tipico Bundesliga table, but 3rd position gives you a place in the Europa League and not the Champions League, doesn't it? The good news is that LASK still have a chance of catching Rapid Vienna up for that 2nd spot, which guarantees a place in the Champions League second qualifying round.
  3. It looks like Salzburg's dominance in Austria continues. They have a sophisticated scouting set-up which helps them sign some of the best youngsters in world football.
  4. Yeah, it looks like their season has suddenly nosedived after having played some inspiring football earlier in the season, especially in the Europa League. It would indeed be a shame if they didn't even qualify for Europe, as that is the least they deserve after their gutsy performances earlier in the season.
  5. So Schalke have decided against taking advantage of their purchase option of buying Todibo for €25 million, because apparently they can't afford the fee. This is a bit of a shame from Schalke's perspective, as Todibo is one of the most highly rated young defenders around. The fact that Barcelona demanded €60 million buy back clause, had Schalke bought him, gives an indication as to how highly he is rated.
  6. RB Salzburg certainly do seem to scout and sign some of the best young players in the world. They have a great scouting system and they are an ideal platform for young players to show off their skills and potential.
  7. You just made me blush even more through embarrassment....
  8. Magician Roy Horn has sadly succumbed to COVID-19 and passed away at the age of 75. R.I.P. Roy Horn https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52596468
  9. Just read that myself online, R.I.P. Peter Bonetti There have been several important footballing figures who have died recently, Radomir Antic, Pape Diouf and Lorenzo Sanz to name a few. Sad times and R.I.P. to them all.
  10. Yes, I hope he gets better. I always had my mind on him and the virus as soon as it was announced that he had it. Prince Charles who is much older recovered, but that was no guarantee that Boris would also get better. To be honest, when you catch this virus, you are supposed to rest and relax. However, it seems that Boris has still been heavily concerned with running the country, despite not being well. He really should have been advised/forced to rest as soon as he knew he had it. I mean just looking at him, he's not the leanest of men, he could have already had several mild medical conditions. People much younger and fitter than him have died from Covid-19, so lets hope that he recovers and gets well.
  11. Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care as his symptoms from Covid-19 become very serious. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-52192604
  12. It's good news for Bayern if it is true. Mueller is a huge asset for them and he always gives 100%.
  13. Coman is indeed excellent fit, but the lad is injury prone. Coman is only 23, but he has already been injured 25 times since he joined Bayern from Juventus! With 5 of the 25 injuries being very serious ones. Bayern can keep him in the hope that he stops getting injured so much, but that would be a risk given his injury record. Eventually his injuries are inevitably going to take their toll. I hope that I am wrong, but all this is a big possibility. Bayern don't need to sell Alaba, he is a key player, Bayern should keep him.

What a twat that Billy Joe Saunders is, releasing a video on how men should beat up their partners when they are nagging, just pathetic. He claims this is his sense of humour, but there is nothing remotely funny or humorous about the video. He's deservedly had his licence suspended in my opinion. https://nypost.com/2020/03/30/billy-joe-saunders-boxing-license-suspended-after-domestic-violence-advice-video/
  15. It's true that Alaba is more needed by Bayern, because of the situation in defence at the moment. But the only reason why I think that it might be wise for Bayern to cash in on Coman is because he is so injury prone. He even said not so long ago, that if he had one more serious injury that he would retire. I think that cashing in on him soon might be wise. That's not taking away anything from his talent, because on his day he is superb. But Bayern should think long term and try to bring in players that are less injury prone.
  16. Just before he said that Seoul has 38 million people, he actually said that the following: "I know South Korea better than anybody!"
  17. The last two times I went out was only to do the shopping. The streets are obviously much emptier than usual, however I have noticed that a lot of people are not practicing social distancing. As I was walking to the supermarket, I found myself moving to keep my distance from people as most others weren't doing this. What's worse is that I have seen an unusual increase in the numbers of joggers on the streets. I understand the need to exercise, but anyone who does so should be sensible about it. I encountered joggers twice today when I went out. With the first jogger, he came up from behind me and I only heard his heavy breathing down my neck at the last minute before he overtook me. He was literally barely a foot away from me as he jogged past. With the second incident, I saw a couple of joggers jogging side by side and this time as I could see them coming, I deliberately stopped and kept my distance to allow them to jog past. Most people are wearing masks here(the joggers weren't wearing masks), but many don't seem to be practicing social distancing. Admittedly I am not in the UK right now, but I have heard from friends and family that a lot of people are not taking this seriously enough. Even from what I see on the UK news online, the situation doesn't fill me with confidence. Up until recently the pubs were packed and the London underground was full of commuters crammed in the tube like sardines in a tin can. The idiots may be in the minority, but it seems like they are in a large minority from the evidence that I have observed.
  18. Speaking of Lima, Nobby Solano has been a bit of a knob by breaking the coronavirus curfew in Peru and he has gotten himself arrested because of it as well. I think that all public figures should be trying their best to lead by example in these most testing of times. Unfortunately, Nobby seems to have failed in this regard. https://www.offtheball.com/sport/nolberto-solano-arrested-990508
  19. Yes, perhaps it is luck. I just thought that it might be an interesting topic to question. These people were diagnosed as having Covid-19, which causes more fatalities than the regular flu. However, it could be luck that none of these people have died yet, just as you suggested. It could also be that these countries were well prepared and had sufficient numbers of ventilators available, whilst at the same time tackling this Pandemic early on. All I hope is that all these countries are being honest and transparent.
  20. The numbers in brackets indicate the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19: Qatar(562), New Zealand(368), Latvia(280), Slovakia(269), Uruguay(238), Jordan(235), Kuwait(225), Vietnam(163), Reunion(145), Faeroe Islands(144), Malta(139), Oman(131), Senegal(119), Brunei(115), Sri Lanka(106) and the Ivory Coast(101). What do all these countries have in common? They all have over 100 cases of people testing positive for Coronavirus, but none of them have registered or confirmed a single death due to this virus. Are they doing something right or have they all just been relatively fortunate? One would hope that some of these countries aren't keeping certain facts from the rest of the world community. A lot of these countries are also relatively small countries and some are quite densely populated. Maybe the health systems in these countries have been well prepared for Covid-19.
  21. Get well soon mate and I hope that it's not this virus. Hopefully it's just a normal cold.
  22. Yes, but maybe he hasn't been washing his hands as frequently as he claimed he was going to do.
  23. I'd imagine a lot of people will have your reaction to this news.
