  1. An entertaining day, even if it does feel like it's ruined the rest of the season.
  2. The commentary so desperately wanted a late Liverpool goal that I went from being happy to being delighted that we won.
  3. Leeds are a point behind and still have Southampton and Middlesbrough away to play. All four of Ipswich's games are difficult if Huddersfield are fighting relegation on the last game of the season. I still on paper make you favourites, even if you are wetting the bed as we speak.
  4. Leicester City have gone from being on cruise control to forgetting how to turn on the ignition.

It was one of my favourite WrestleManias to be honest with 21 and 30. Partly because we managed to get more of my friends who hadn't watched for years involved and they were all hooked. It's very rare you get a feelgood show where everything clicks in to place perfectly and this one had it.
  6. Matt Slater mentioned this last summer when asked if fines would reign in some of the out of control spending we see. He said if Todd Boehly is told that he will receive a fine for spending over a certain amount, he would go well over that amount and factor the fine in to the losses. If he can realise that when asked on the spot, then Richard Masters should forsee this from a mile off.
  7. Richard Scudamore. Shortly after that, the greedy six threatened to break away unless they got a bigger share of the international TV revenue and the games never really been the same since.
  8. They have a chance to make things better and only seem content on making things worse. The Premier League members cannot be the ones to make this decision. They've all got there own self interests. It's time for Richard Masters to grow a pair and show there's not a need for an independent regulator.

Do you think Jay White would have believed you if you told him when he chose to join AEW that he would be losing to Billy Gunn a year later?
  11. Chris Richards out injured for a few weeks now. The one thing we've been consistent with is injuries. Back up to ten.
  12. I think it's still Leicester's title to lose. There run in is significantly better than that of Leeds or Ipswich. Norwich or Coventry for 6th place feels very difficult to call.
  13. Fans and the media are already terrible when it comes to wanting new shiny toys every transfer window in an industry where 90%+ of professional clubs run at a loss. If you take away the threat of on field punishment then it would become the wild west. I think the way forwards is the Spanish model with an abolishment of the transfer window. On June 30th, instead of in September as it is in Spain, clubs show the Independent Regulator revenues they have generated in the last year. The regulator then informs him exactly how much they can spend on wages.
  14. That's pretty shocking. It feels like promotion or real trouble.
  15. Bournemouth had Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams, Antoine Semenyo, Milos Kerkez, Max Aarons, Enes Unal and Romaine Favre on the bench. Now our bench had Odsonne Edouard complimented by Jeffrey Schlupp, Nathaniel Clyne, James Tomkins and a load of kids who are nowhere near ready to start a game for us. Steve Parish has had an absolute mare and is very fortunate that other teams have had point deductions. Any other season and we're relegated which is what we deserve.
  16. Ah I get you now. Yeah, I'm not happy about my club being one of the loudest voices in that current debate. The PL clubs only have themselves to blame that there's now an independent regulator being put in place.
  17. Yeah, I dont blame you. I've been listening to that Quickly Kevin podcast on 90s football over the last month and it's clear that these days the game has just gone. We talk more about VAR, shit refs, team cooking the books, Fifa corruption, stupid World Cup expansion plans, PL incompetence, club greed etc than we do about the players who play the game. I'm embarrassed for clubs like ourselves, Wolves, Bournemouth who voted against the EFL clubs getting a small share of the TV revenue given that not long ago we were in really bad situations ourselves. Its not the club I invested so much of my teenage and early 20 years in to and its part of the reason I don't feel anything when we draw to teams like Luton and Forest.
  18. According to a sideline report during the Southampton game (incredible really), United's pursuit of Jason Wilcox from Southampton to be the new Technical Director, and a disagreement between the two clubs about whether a release clause in his contract exists, has caused him to resign .
  19. Even if The Premier League hadnt formed in 1992, I'm pretty confident we'd still have been heading in the same direction. It was the same year The Champions League rebrand started, and Serie A was a beast of its own after Italia 90. David Platt had joined Juventus for 6.5m, Gazza had left English Football for Lazio for 5.5m (reduced from 7.5m after his Gary Charles tackle), meanwhile United had signed Cantona from Leeds for 1.2m. The money and popularity of football was growing so the game still would have still attracted the same type of characters. Silvio Berlusconi was the original Super League advocate after all. Those characters involved in the English game would just more than likely be in charge of different teams on the European continent.
  20. So I was today years old when I learned about the Champion's League co-efficient payment. I know I am late to this and probably miles behind Newcastle fans, but this is outrageous. Newcastle and Man United can go out at the same stage and yet United get a much bigger financial reward from UEFA. I'm surprised it isn't being challenged in court as anti-competitive practice. It is so clearly designed to shut out clubs from breaking into the 'elite'.

Just listened to the CM Punk interview. Pretty much confirms what we already knew. Jack Perry is a douche, nobody respects Tony Khan and the fake journalists are goofs that would create fake headlines from the interview. The big surprise is AEW didn't help him with his treatment for the torn bicept. At what point is Tony Khan going to start taking people's health seriously? When somebody gets paralysed or killed?
  22. If De Zerbi gets the job I think there will need to be a degree of patience until he gets the players in to play his system. I think Brighton will be content in getting compensation for him as long as Thiago Motta is interested in the job. That's about as like for like as a managerial replacement as you could ask for.
