  1. Every game had a goal in the last ten minutes other than ours
  2. Given how many goals we've conceded in the last ten minutes, I refuse to get excited. However, if there's one bright spark this season it's the improvement of Jean-Phillipe Mateta. My biggest criticism of him was how weak he was for a man of his size, but now he looks as fit and as strong as he should be. He deserves a lot of credit for the changes he's made, as do all the staff that have worked with him this season.
  3. Roshan Mathurin is our only attacking player on the bench today. How the board thought it was acceptable to go two transfer windows without replacing Zaha, and four without replacing Benteke, still irritates me. Any other season and were deservedly down.
  4. That QPR win is massive for them. What a job Cifuentes is doing. Can certainly see bigger clubs looking at him and Rohl next season.
  5. Jesus, Leicester look like they're going to blow this. With all the off field misdemeanours, you have to wonder if they don't go up this season with this group of players they'll get sucked in to The Championship black hole for a couple of seasons.
  6. Sorry Cicero, next time I share something that's being reported by several news outlets simultaneously ill trawl through over two years of media articles on that football club just to check it's never been mentioned in passing, if you feel that's more of a priority than trying to evoke some form of discussion.
  7. This is a must not lose game for us. I'm sure Glasner would have appreciated three weeks to work on the 3-4-3 formation and specific instructions for certain opposition, but we are about to play Forest away at the worst time given the recent points deduction. Johnstone and Edouard have joined the never ending list of injured players too.
  8. I resent the statement that it was a mediocre week for Mercedes given I got over 80% of the points.

Yeah, they've well and truly taken Chicago from AEW, which was arguably there hottest area. That Matt Jackson victory lap aged well.
  10. Hopefully tonight puts to bed the theory that Lewis Dunk is even close to being good enough to play for England ever again.
  11. Offshore accounts. From a man that's not from this country and whose UK Visa hasn't been renewed since 2018. Sounds like they've really dug deep.
  12. https://theesk.org/2024/03/24/the-reality-of-the-conditional-minded-to-approve-requirements/ It seems like the PL have said 777 have to fulfil certain criteria (which they also said 6 months ago) but have given a 1 month deadline to do it. That would cost a lot of money which 777 don’t have. They can’t convert the loan into equity as they can’t pay off the underlying loan they used to lend on to everton. There are also rules to limit the amount of debt an entity can use to buy a club to prevent another glazer situation. So this article essentially sees these are conditions it’s impossible for them to meet.
  13. I'd go 4-2-3-1 at the minute when everybody's fit given how impressive Foden has been on the left this season.
  14. I can't remember any outrage with the Team GB kits in the 2012 Olympics. Maybe it's those that moan about others being woke that are the woke ones here.
  15. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-22/miami-based-777-gets-conditional-approval-of-everton-fc-deal The Premier League trying to give the new regulator a hospital pass here.
  16. A transfer embargo in March. That'll teach them.

  18. It's hard to sympathise with Leicester City given this isn't the first time they've been accused of overspending.
  19. Usually I'd question a side that's squandered a 17 point lead but I think that shows how relentless Leeds have been this year. Aside from The Championship, I spent some time in Lincoln this week and that is a club that once it gets some momentum behind them they could really get going. They have sensible people at the club with wealthy benefactors, theyve scored 16 goals in the last three games, the ground and surrounding area keeps on improving, the city as a whole has improved tenfold in the last 5+ years, its suddenly an appealing area for people in their 20's and there's a real happy united vibe about the place. They have a Plymouth feel about them in the sense that if they can get going they can punch through whatever proverbial ceiling has been placed on them and really push on as a team in an organic fashion.

At this point I've come to the conclusion that Tony Khan just wants to cater to the 800k people he can relate to as opposed to grow the company in the US. Which is fine as long as WBD are content. I get the argument that they're doing more damage to the reputation to the image of Wrestling outside WWE than good but, let's be honest, no casuals are watching this any more. When Okada came out as a heel I thought 'ah okay' and then they had his first match a couple of days later on the B show. As for Sasha Banks, if she's making similar money to Charlotte and Becky Lynch then fair play to her. Nobody knows how long AEW will last so rinse the Khan family whilst you can.
