They were even kind enough to let Kenny Omega go to Impact, beat all of there guys, and then lose the Impact World Title on AEW TV to Christian.

Yeah, even if it was just: "The Elite and Ring of Honor Present..." at the title so there production work got recognised. They got absolutely shafted when those guys left just before the big event in the garden. It's quite worrying that ROH are in this state and it makes you wonder how well Impact, MLW and NWA are fareing. I imagine Tony Khan is salivating at the mouth over who is available but his roster is huge already even though they're running four shows a week.

    Holy Shit.
  4. The banner in the home end today for those that haven't seen.

Tom Lawlor is leaving MLW. He will be sandbagged by Chris Jericho in the next two months then.
  6. Pretty poor of the new owners to send Lee Charnley to threaten the other clubs with the threat of a lawsuit. That must have been awkward to watch given he's from the previous regime, he's liked by the other board members present and he's delivering a message directly from the new regime that doesn't appear interested on first impression in integrating themselves. Quite telling the voting went 18-2 and the other club that voted with Newcastle was Man City.
  7. Well you'd hope he wouldn't be given a say in transfers. Its quite underwhelming when you notice the obscene amount of money on largely mediocre players he'd spend to get by.
  8. There is really no point sacking Steve Bruce until after this weekend.

Yeah I wasn't particularly a fan. All of Lucha Bros matches just turn in to a tornado tag after five minutes. I don't know why Tony Khan continues to ignore it. Just call it a Lucha Rules match or something.
  10. Sky Sports have been replaying an interview with Ben White where he tells them his birth name is Benjamin. How the mighty have fallen.
  11. The Insect was on a Palace podcast this week where he took an open approach and suggested such.
  12. The thought of Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in discussions with the other 13 clubs about 'concerns for the the Premier League brand' after the stunt they tried pulling is rather hysterical to me.

Oh I agree. Subtle jokes back and forth are fine but his comments come off both desperate and sad.

To be fair he's right about Raw.
  15. Regarding Steve Bruce ... I saw a quote of his where he mentioned he was glad his parents weren't around to see the abuse he has been getting from fans of the club he supported as a child and I felt a bit sorry for him. That said, he knew exactly what he was walking in to, his loyalty record is downright appalling and he turned down the chance to manage Newcastle on multiple occasions whilst his parents were still alive. I'd be interested to know if Mike Ashley looked after him with his contract and if he would get a sizeable pay off. From what Andy Woodman has said it was drinks all round when you get sacked by Newcastle as they paid up all of what's left on your contract.
  16. Antonio Conte would arrive, threaten to resign over the size of the budget three times, and then leave Newcastle with a FFP investigation.
  17. I think Newcastle need to put people in place that can get them to the next level and then be ruthless in getting them out. Getting in to the top 6/8 will be more difficult for them than it was for Man City getting in to the top five back in 2009. They cannot be loyal if they have hefty ambitions. Lampard did a good enough job getting Chelsea through a difficult period but once Chelsea returned to signing an abundance of World Class players they quite rightly employed a World Class Manager to achieve World Class results. Ole's done a good job restoring Manchester United's identity but now they have Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo people are going to rightly question if he should have gone after the Villareal defeat if they keep regressing on the pitch. I'd take this logic to the pitch too. James Tarkowski is available on a free next summer at 29 years old, bring him in to partner Lascelles or another for two years then get him out.

I'm not interested in it at all to be honest. Most of the women they have are terrible.

I was impressed by Wilder with his never say die attitude but him not showing respect at the end was poor.

What an absolute classic that was.
  22. All that money and you target a manager who looks like he's about to enter a robot on Robot Wars.

Hopefully Fury drops him pretty quickly to end this saga.
