  1. What's your record like against Big clubs? Is it concerning for next season?
  2. Not Germany national team specific but that's some dunk by the Korean FA on Jurgen Klinsmann.
  3. With Brentford, if there current recruitment hits a ceiling, you'd trust them to adapt to a different model that works. It's frustrating for the rest of us but clearly Bloom and Benham's skills were transferable and it's good that there boyhood clubs that were traditionally third/fourth tier are the ones benefitting from it during the time of "There's too much money to break through".
  4. What . What data are you expecting Newcastle United to have on players that nobody else does that'll influence how Dan Ashworth signs players for a top club in two summers time? All these clubs have access to the same data on players, it's how they interpret it that differs.
  5. Pleased to hear the update from Lewington that Roy seems to be OK - I really hope its not something which can be attributed to what must have been quite a stressful period with all the speculation about his job. Its taken a bit of a shine off what looks like an exciting and impressive change to secure Glasner. I wonder what this means for Everton on Monday. Either way just hoping for some more positive news on Roy's health.
  6. By now you'd think Boehly would have recognised the Brighton staff don't get to keep there login to the algorithm.
  7. Brighton came mid-table in 21/22, since then Chelsea have bought half the club and now they're mid-table.
  8. I think we need him to have a run of about six games in the starting xi before we can pass judgement. He definitely grew in to the game and hopefully the defensive cover, beating a man more regularly etc should improve the more he plays. Mateta's a good example of that. I wrote him off after last season but after a run in the first team to build confidence he's shown against Man City, Chelsea and Brighton good hold up play, ability to win the ball, hassle defenders and link play. You can see why he's linked to bigger clubs than us in Germany despite not setting the world on fire as with his size and better attributes he's probably scoring high in the data charts for what those clubs are looking for in a modern forward.
  9. I was more pleased with last night's game than I was with the win against Sheffield United. We let Chelsea have posession but they weren't able to quickly transition past us and we kept our shape well. Everytime they played more than three passes together I was confident we had them. It was good example of controlling the game whilst not having possession. I did however say at half time that if they do get a shot within ten yards they'll score and low and behold as soon as they got it in to that area it had to be Conor Gallagher who doesn't seem to score anywhere else. After that we went back to holding the game well but the difference in the quality of substitutions was quite telling and broke us down. Once the likes of Raheem Sterling were on the pitch Chelsea just began to stretch the game, pockets of space opened, and we just couldn't hang on for another three minutes. I'm not sure if that performance will get us anything against Everton, but it does give me the confidence that we will get the 12 points from somewhere to stay up this season.
  10. @Stan @Dan Do you think KDH gets rested against Sheff Wed again tomorrow?
  11. I think it's getting to the stage now where Paddy McCarthy needs to start doing press conferences. This is the fourth occasion now where I've thought "I get what you're trying to say but it's come out completely wrong".
  12. I'll never forget the era where Jurgen had no hair and fist bumped Palace fans after every victory.
  13. I don't want to know whether this was the plan all along or if they've changed direction but that kick off show was perfect.
  14. I don't think it was initially, but after the feedback The Rock is going to lean in to his Hollywood persona to get cheered again.
  15. If we concede early it could be carnage. It wont happen but it would be nice to hear from Steve Parish to offer some form of clarity on any of the issues with the fish rotting at the head to lower some of the toxicity within the fan base. Why have we reached out to the Raine Group? What's going on with the new stand? Why have we gone two transfer windows and not replaced arguably our greatest ever player? What is it that Harris and Blitzer actually do? Has appointing Frank de Boer haunted him that much hes too scared to make a managerial decision? Would he be willing to remove his almighty voting rights to assist with a sale? Even if he addressed just one of these issues it may alleviate some of the anger we're going to see on Monday. On Twitter they're trying to arrange a booing demonstration from the 1st minute ffs.
  16. You said around October/November time we wouldn't get relegated and were doing everything we can to prove you wrong .
