I like Eze and at his best he is really magnetic, but the more I watch him the more I see quite a big difference between him and Olise whereas I used to think they were a lot closer.

Boxings a funny sport. Smith is one of those fighters thats probably been held up to a standard higher than he is and then that all gets shown up against a great fighter like Beterbiev or Canelo. Hearn knows how to promote a fighter, I remember him talking about Smith fighting at a higher standard when the fighter is a higher standard and it never made sense as surely great fighters turn up for most fights regardless. He’s not exactly an entertaining fighter either so you dont know where he goes from here, at least fighters like Whyte and Chisora go to war, you tune in for that and hope for the best.

What is the sensible middle ground? Because so far it's just remove FFP and let Newcastle and whoever else can get a nation state behind them spend to win the title. Which is exactly what we had 15 years ago. Personally I think European football as a whole needs a massive rethink, English football especially. Clubs like Chelsea shouldn't be able to find amortization loopholes that can allow them to blow a billion in a year, City shouldn't be financially doped to the level they are....but the answer isn't to remove the restrictions that prevent more teams from doing that. Because not only will it further increase the financial disparity in the league, we'll get more Portsmouth's and Leeds United's.
