I'm avoiding the bus for now haha. Yeah the transports pretty bad for a capital city but that's not effected me yet. I can see why people say to drive. I'm staying in Northbridge at the moment, got a week booked at a hostel. Pretty decent one actually which makes life good. Seen some decent looking bars around Northbridge and they've got a Fringe festival on nearby. Went down Cottesloe Beach earlier, water was still warm at about 6pm, mental. One thing about Sydney is the beaches are generally broken up by cliffs but here it's all open, not felt the wind whip sand against me leg in a while ha

About to leave Sydney for good...or at least until next time. So disappointed but excited to travel again, onto Perth next and then finally through South Australia and then Melbourne to end my Aussie adventure. Starting a new one in New Zealand in March, but still wish I could stay here longer. One of the best cities on the planet.

Okolie v Chamberlain was a bit of a let down but a convincing win for Okolie either way.
  12. I'm late to this topic but how on earth did Pep ruin a team that he took on to win three Bundesligas in a row with? When was the last time a Bayern manager did that? Let alone domestic trophies too.
  13. Definitely a coaching issue, but you're not playing Nottingham Forest week in week out, you're playing Premier League teams. Don't rate Mustafi, don't rate Koscielny, don't rate Xhaka, never been sold on Monreal, Bellerin's attacking outlet makes his defensive look better.
  14. Partially down to coaching, partially down to shit players.
  15. Just watched all three goals against Swansea and I had forgot just how bad Arsenal's defence was. First goal, Granit Xhaka completely ball watching, allows the defender to run past him without even a glare at him. Not to mention Ozil losing the ball in a silly position. Second goal, Monreal seems to throw the ball past Mustafi goalwards even though Dyer is there closing Mustafi down. Mustafi then decides to play the ball back towards the keeper even though Dyer is physically on top of him, if he's that close just put the ball out for a corner. Plays the ball towards the keeper even though the keeper will have two attackers on top of him as he goes to kick it...so the ball either hits one of them or as seen, Cech fucks the kick up and Ayew scores. Before the 3rd goal Dyer has a chance that he puts just wide of the post, created by a long ball into the channel. Instead of Mustafi trying to head the ball back out or off for a throw in...he heads it into the area. And then the last goal consists of Monreal's shocking attempt at a half volley/overhead clearance, Mustafi getting bullied by Ayew and then Bellerin ball watching allowing the goal scorer Clucas to charge in and get on the end of Mustafi's dodgy tackle/pass. How you've spent so much money on players and still have a defence that bad is shocking.

Some good games this month that I unfortunately can't go to, Rabbitohs vs Wigan, Hull FC vs St. George and then Leeds vs Storm. Looking forward to getting to Auckland, first game I'll see if the season will be Warriors vs Titans in Auckland.

It's the layout of the place really that seems European, especially the bridges over the river. I found it to be a bit like Manchester as all of the bigger buildings seem to be a bit spread out.

Haven't lived in London for about 4 years or so now mate so wouldn't know what's about, but I feel like the places that serve Japanese beer are the places I'd avoid on a count of my wallet thinning Australia's a weird country, British colony but very Americanised. The news is very dramatically American and where news channels/programmes at home are usually more about the channel/programme itself, the marketing out here is very big on singular news presenters. The only time I've really seen that in the UK is for Trevor McDonald. General television is very American in it's presentation, adverts for everything is quite dramatic and you'll be watching something and an infomercial for another show appears in the corner I only ever saw in America.. Australia is a very small country population-wise compared to the rest of the world and that definitely shows in popular culture, everything is very nationalistic and the word Aussie turns into an adjective half the time. Coming from someone who grew up with the impartiality of the BBC (or at least the effort to be impartial), it's strange to watch on tele all the time. Their TV in general is largely British and if something isn't British then it's probably a remake of a reality show that is. I imagine there's a greater selection on Foxtel (their Sky). Fashion is different, when I went to Melbourne everyone just wore tight jeans and long t-shirts whether it was during the day or night (shorts during the day mind). Melbourne is a very edgy city and prides itself on it's "culture", it's the closest thing you'll find to a European style city out here so I get why everyone loves it. I could live there quite happily, however it's not that great compared to European cities (London, Paris, Barcelona etc) and as an Englishman I'd come out here for the beach and Melbourne doesn't have good beaches. Sydney is very beachy in it's fashion so is completely different

Don't really know if I'm honest, there's a Japanese beer out here that's fairly popular called Kirin, one called Asahi too. And an Asian beer called Wild Yak. I'd say mostly between European and Asian, American beers don't really travel around that much other than craft beer type places.

Guinness though it tastes like shit out here, not noticed a lot of European beers and if I have I've not bought them. But I think I may have seen Heineken around a few times and I stayed at hostel once and the pub it was above sold London Pride. Other than that most bars and pubs out here sell largely Aussie stuff
