He's a football manager not Adolf Hitler, "here's an image the press won't let you see", he sets himself up for half the shit he gets and the other half comes from boring robotic football displayed by his team...the world is truly against Mourinho/United and obviously that''s how they like to portray it as it generally gets the best out of them but the poor soul routine in football is getting boring, they're paid millions to do this.

Greatest Tennis player there ever was, hopefully he can add more to his list. This has been a good tournament in fairness, Chung vs Djokovic was edge of the seat stuff and pretty much announced Chung into contention for future Grand Slams. Kyle Edmund managed to get to a semi final with some good wins a long the way and considering the trouble Cilic gave Federer tonight losing to him was no shame.

I, Tonya - 8/10. I wouldn't say I was blown away by it but then it's a difficulty style of film to be blown away by, but it was a great watch and I'd happily watch it again. Margot Robbie was fantastic in it as was Allison Janney, both worked together really well and deservedly up for nominations. Sebastian Stan was good in it also, he portrayed well a really dis-likeable character. An honourable mention goes to Paul Hauser who again portrayed someone really dis-likeable but also hilarious without meaning to be, their relationship together in the film was a nice break from the triangle between Tonya, her mother and Sebastian Stan's character. At first I thought I was going to have to sit through 2 hours of Ice Skating which didn't fill me with joy But in the end the storyline and those moments were all gripping throughout. Really good film.

The day Iniesta retires will be a horrific day for football, few players in the world can do what he could. His touch is unbelievable and it's players like him that show that silverware in this sport doesn't need to be won by physicality.

Can't remember who it was against but that screamer he scored when Ronaldo dived for a penalty and Bale picked the ball up and curled it top left hand corner.

He does look good Arthur, only seen clips of him mind so can't say for sure like others on here could but if he ends up as good as the clips suggest then Barce will have a really good short passing side again.

Since when did people start including the Charity Shield as a trophy won? It's a friendly.

My local non-league side Hayes and Yeading Utd are finally at the Skyex Stadium (originally Yeading FC's home stadium), I believe they moved in this season. Originally there were two clubs locally, one Hayes FC (ex players are Cyrill Regis, Les Ferdinand and Jason Roberts to name a few) and the other Yeading FC (notable ex player includes DJ Campbell and the club's stadium was used for the filming of Bend It Like Beckham, Yeading FC also played Newcastle Utd in the FA Cup 3rd round at Loftus Road in the early 2000s). Both were struggling financially and received decentish crowds for the division, the idea was a merge and the doubling up on crowds may help the club out but instead a load of Yeading FC supporters never came to support the team (the club moved to Hayes FC's ground first) and the last time I went to a match about 5 years ago which was about 5 years after the merge happened, the fans were still singing "we're Hayes, not Yeading, we'll kick your fucking head in ). Anyway to say the least the club didn't fare as expected, hit money problems again, fortunately still owned Yeading FC's old ground which had better potential for facilities so sold Hayes FC's ground to property developers and planned to upgrade the new ground to current standards as it fell well below. The old ground was demolished in 2011 and the club have moved back to it's home ground this season and have spent the last few years playing "at home" at Woking and Maidenhead. The club hovered around Conference Prem/South for the first 8 years and after a couple of more relegations are now in the Evo-Stik League South (which apparently is split up into East and West???)

Bet you loved that haha. I've not played Fifa in so long, the one thing about travelling is that you just can't play it Miss a good career mode, taking a mid-tableish club with a nice or historic stadium onto winning silverware, making shrewd transfers etc.

Coutinho looks like he'll fit in perfectly at Barce, I think he'll probably need to work on when to try and run and shoot and when to play the ball through as he's probably used to having the freedom to not worry about not feeding someone else in and just going for goal.

Kyle Edmund is the 6th Britishman to get to an Australian Open semi final, it was a deserved win but definitely sloppy. Gave away a lot of points which could have led to a more comprehensive win but only 23, hopefully a bright future ahead for British tennis outside of Murray.

Looked like you were debating why it's sad that he's only remembered in this way
-
@Spike I think @SirBalon's point was more that it's sad that he's remembered only through the focus of being black (would we be talking about him otherwise had Cyrille Regis not died?) rather than being remembered firstly for his footballing achievements and attributes in the game and then also for his achievements as a black footballer through a time where it was difficult or impossible to be one.

Been to Greece once (Thassos) and Spain twice (coastline east of Girona) and whilst I prefer Greece I definitely loved Spain. Sydney is better for me though, Palm Beach is amazing and so are the beaches all around the harbour. Loved Fraser Island and Whitsunday Islands, Fraser being my favourite. Hoping to see some nice beaches in Perth and in South Australia. Looking forward to this in Auckland though it'll be a bit cold by then...

Chung Hyeon really taking this match to Djokovic, so talented.

Is Roberto any good defensively? I watched the highlights of their 4-2 win and I'm pretty sure he was at fault for two school boy errors which gave them the goals.
-
Higgins is the one who's got Parker a better deal than what he would have got but let's face it, Parker has a belt and AJ wants it so it would happen either way.

5 minutes into that and you know how that's going to play out, he's far too intelligent to get caught up in that sort of questioning. I do question people who have a war against the pay gap, largely the same people who have a personal war against any issue that is prevalent amongst modern feminists that isn't along the lines of female genital mutation.
-
I've not watched it but they often bring in people who are easily wound up to discuss feminist issues to create an explosive argument.

He was doing community service for assaulting his girlfriend when Leicester were winning the league
-
Danny Simpson won the league with Leicester so I'm sure Flanagan will find his way back into a top flight club (if he's good enough)

No but it wouldn't matter if I was

What are you waffling on about? You are not seriously comparing the animal kingdom to the ways in which humans carry out abusive and torture like farming practices all around the world are you?
