I think that it was obvious from pre-season that we would be struggling in defence so no it's not a surprise, I said back then and still believe now that it will be down to how many we can score that will determine results for us, failure to be clinical in the final third in games and we are going to struggle simply because we lack focus in defence and always concede so it's about outscoring the opposition which we do well on most occasions... 'Media Frenzy' is probably a strong way of putting it when you talk about Lampard, sure he gets a lot of attention but then so does Klopp and Guardiola for what they do and given it's Lampards first big test and he is putting out youngsters it shouldn't really be a surprise should it?? Long term nobody knows what's in store for him or how he goes about business in the transfer market once we get back in there and I am fairly sure things won't be rosy all the time for him either, I personally don't expect us to get much further in the CL for example as the Ajax game just shows our shortcomings against good attacking sides but it's a learning curve this season, If he did well and then they decided to give him a longer contract he could follow down the path of Solskjaer and have it all go down the toilet really quickly but who knows??? he could continue to perform at a reasonable level but since when has performing at a reasonable level ever secured a managers job at Chelsea???

Clearly unprepared mentally for any setbacks that may come his way, If he is like this over a game what mess do you think he might be in if he had a girlfriend ( although unlikely ) and she dumped him for someone else??? Shame he was probably forced into making an apology given the abuse he has been going through... Can't underestimate the Man Flu... When I had it I had out of body experiences and everything... You could be experiencing some sort of Matrix scenario... Your body could have lapsed into a coma like state and yet your mind has freed itself to wander unhindered but you are just not aware of it?? I don't think they have an official medical term for females that get infected with the man flu, but it's dangerous and you have my sympathies..

Watched 'Hunter Killer' last night with Gerard Butler... 7.5 Not a bad action flick to be honest..

It seems a bit odd to start off with but I like it personally, might be an acquired taste though so not for all, just curious if anyone else had seen it.. The lead character is Alfred Pennyworth who later goes on to be Batmans butler.. so a bit of an origins story if you like but nothing to do with superheroes or anything of that type which I know you are not a fan of..

So pretty much the same things Hazard had to do then??? Just I didn't see Hazard feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of it all.. he came out and gave it his best shot every time as you might come to expect from a world class player... Pogba will get out of it what he is prepared to put into it, nothing more nothing less...

That's pretty much all you need to know right there... You can have all the skill in the world but if you never apply yourself to the task at hand then it's meaningless... If he imposed himself more in games and gave 100% each match then you might be able to point out that the players around him were not of sufficient skill to compliment his efforts but if you just come out and trudge around for 90 minutes then you can't really point the finger at anyone else for not performing well... Hazard is a good example of a big player that showed it week in and week out.. There was a period under Mourinho where the whole team took a bit of a nose dive him included I admit but for the most part you got a buzz of anticipation that the bloke could turn a game on it's head when he came on, he made things happen, influenced the play and created and scored goals,, you just don't get that same vibe from Pogba..
