Rough last few weeks, despite the fact that life is treating me well with beautiful weather, a promotion on the horizon, and other minor fufillments. Homesickness has me on the ropes, the Rolling Stones have me pegged. I feel like one minor incident from a full meltdown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEseb6-hssc
  3. There used to be a schoolyard rumour that sort of sausage was made out of donkey dick
  4. Slice of sausage!? Well, getting a free sausage at the butcher is hopefully universal! I know when I used to go to my local butcher that wasn't unusual. Well I can tell you about the eccentricities of growing up in regional Australia if you're interested. Maybe it should have been written in German haha

I haven't bought it yet but I'm looking at some cricket equipment soon. I got into a local distributor and I'm going to meet with him in the next few days. I haven't played in fuuuucking yeeears (I must have been in high school last time), so some advice on decent quality equipement would be great. @Devil-Dick Willie @IgnisExcubitor @Toinho @Stick With Azeem @Stan @MUFC @CaaC (John) looking at the kookaburra rampage which ranges from about $USD 110 -140 depending on willow quality
  8. It'd also be great for AC Milan because it'd get rid of that child's meddlesome attitude. Oh, what is that you and your brother want a yearly wage increase? Mamma mia.
  9. I like Kovacic. He is a very solid midfielder, he can dribble, pass, tackle, and do all the bits that don't included scoring. He has made a few nice passes that led to goals as well, he is a very tidy player. I think the problem is that Kovacic and Jorginho can overlap responsibilities a little too much, which makes having both of them play redudant. Saying that though, I still believe that keeping a player like Kovacic is very important, as without him Jorginho is the only player of that style in the squad, leaving Barkley and Cheek to fill that gap and those two are far too offensive minded to play together in a midfield. In fact I'd go as far to say if Jorginho and Kovacic overlap, so do Barkley and Cheek. I'm happy with the transfer, I think it is a fair market value, especially considering that Real Madrid could easily gouge Chelsea for having the ban in place. OVERALL it could be a minor blessing in disguise having the ban, as it forces the club to use what it has, and that could lead to improved performances without the yearly upheaval. Though don't hold your breath.

The wickets fell like dominoes once Starc took Stokes’ wicket. Good stuff, Australia get better every match; and if Smith can get over being a little bitch about being banned for a year, I’d wager number six is good as gold. Only India worry me at this point.
  11. I didn’t peg you as one for comedy festivals
  12. And Real Madrid beat Barcelona exactly zero times on the way to those victories. Comparing a knock out competition where the two teams didn't even play eachother to the league is ridiculous. It's like saying that Porto is better than Manchester City because they won three titles in a row independent of what Man City was doing. Yes, congratulations to Real Madrid but it is absolutely bizarre to rub it in the face of a team they didn't even play.
  13. If that is pathetic consistently placing beneath Barcelona must be even more so. It is like you don't even think about the implications before posting. Seriously though, how many time have Real beaten Barcelona in the last five years? Twice?
  14. So Real Madrid have Marcelo, Reguilon, Hernandez, and now Ferland for the LB spot? Ridiculous. Real is stockpiling and neglecting young players.

It it the v shaped collar around the jumper I am curious about. I’ve seen teams play that only one or two players have a jumper with the dyed collar, as opposed to all white https://www.thestatesman.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Ricky-Ponting.jpg

Nah, that is an urban myth (or at the very least for me). It means 'pomegranate' because you lot go red and white in the sun! Well, the times have changed, Italian, Greek, and all the other 'wog' types are fully assimilated into the culture and are considered as Australian as the wattle. I was reading a satirical article the other day, that joked that recipients of racial abuse of yesterday are the abusers of today! Meaning that the Italians and Greeks that were abused in the 60s and 70s are the ones that go about hating on the new immigrants. I never saw much of this stuff, most of the near blues I got into at the pubs were with Scotts or Irish that obviously had chips on their shoulder's.

It is a funny old place, isn't it? I never thought 'Pom' as a racial word anyway, more of an endearing insult anyway. Besides most Aussies are cut from the same genetic cloth as the English, it'd be kinda weird if we thought our race were superior! Kinda like how we both call the Americans 'Yanks' but I don't think we mean anything really nefarious. Also even weirder, 'wog' is a term of pride and not really that offensive back home (check out the Greek-Australian film 'Wogboy') but back on the Isles it's very offensive and referring to a different set of people!

I think it's less the Aussie deliveries and more the mindset of 'every ball is a potential boundary'

I hate the English for ruining the work 'Paki', it would be so easier to type and say than every single time resorting to the 'Pakistanis are batting well'.

Hassan was determined to win this game by himself but like the others he is caught out. Pakistan gotta watch their batting decisions,
  24. It is a silly rumour that I want to be true, anyway the rumour is that Özil cannot speak German that well, or at least speaks a mangled dialect.
