  1. I almost feel like it's a backhand compliment. I feel like it praises Barca more than it does the player, but whatever. I think the stock standard phrase 'He would bring a lot to the team' is sufficient even if it isn't sincere and let's be honest that is what most managers and pundits say. It's generally a stupid question that is just used for clickbait transfer articles.
  2. Nah, he can say whatever he pleases. Most people just find the 'Barca DNA' line to be real cringe I don't think anyone would give two hoots if he never said that.
  3. Vidal spent more time at Real Madrid That is a bit of stretch claiming him to be homegrown at La Masia.
  4. Barcelona are digging a deep hole that could ruin them in the years to come. They will continue to win despite themselves but we need to look at the future. The core is all 30+, there isn't much talent in La Masia, it remains to be scene if Denis, Samper, and Roberto can cut the mustard, transfers in are just terrible, as well as transfers out.
  5. Cheeky. My wife buys me packs of jocks because it drives her mental when I'm walking around the house with a pair of jocks with holes the size of tennis balls.
  6. My Calvins are royal blue (I swear it's a Chelsea-coincidence!). The sort that are more like boxers so my wedding tackle isn't compressed into my crotch. Roomy.
  7. The white jersey will suite your Calvin Klein tighty whiteys.

I bought something from sport direct once. I didn't expect that fucking mug! Jesus and Mary! That is a big fucking mug.
  9. What the hell are you talking about? I'm not English, for starters. Secondly, I'm talking about the roles the play in their teams and how their teams affect their roles. If you actually read my post, which I assume you didn't since you are so hung up on a single word, you'd know that I compared the roles of each of the players (none of this arbitrary labeling, like CDM, or DM, or CM, radedah). I even claimed that Busquets is the best in the world at what he does but what he does is different to what Kroos and Modric do, they may have some overlaps but the three are all very different. You're one of my favourite posters, but you've gone off the deepend this time; I don't even know what has happened in your life for you to react this way on here. Brexit? That's weird mate. I'm frustrated because I'm really hungover and I feel like you are stumbling over my rejection of the word 'pivot' when I've never been concerned about that, I wanted to talk about the differences between Busquets and Modric and Kroos, which you just ignored me on. Do you feel that you are better than me? Do you feel like you have a superior understanding about football because you're Spanish and I'm Australian? You probably do, but that doesn't mean you can ignore what I say and just dismiss it because I didn't realise that 'pivot' was a Spanish term. You seem to be stuck in repeat about one post where I mentioned that I don't care about the term pivot. You even said 'Anyway... If anyone wants to talk real football and actually has some knowledge without spewing utter tripe... Feel free.' which is what I was trying to do but you were having none of it.
  10. No, he is arguing about a word. Everyone else is talking about Germans and Croats.
  11. HOLY SHIT FUCKWIT I'M NOT DISCUSSING THE FUCKING TERM, I AM TALKING ABOUT BUSQUETS AND THE COMPARISON TO KROOS AND MODRIC. Get it through your fucking Spanish cule sucking skull and realise that you are debating about X while I'm talking about Y, MY FIRST POST was about the term pivot I MOVED ON, YOU DIDN'T.
  12. That's bullshit! You've nothing to say ,so you bang on about me not liking the term 'pivot'? I don't give a fuck about the term. What about the rest of my statements? Just swept under the rug. What I've said has far more tactical depth than spitting out one pivot! two pivot! Fuck the Spanish media, they have nothing to do with what we are speaking about.
  13. Personally I don't see how it'd work. The guy is basically Turkish Riquelme. Ol' Fish Eyes does nothing without the ball and I really don't think Barcelona are lacking in a creative killer passes. Where would he play? He isn't assertive enough for the midfield and he is wasted on the wings.Perhaps a a diamond could work with Messi and Suarez being strikers and Ozil at the top of the diamond?
  14. I really don't care how long it has been used or who uses it. The term is as useless as throwing arbitrary numbers out (which you criticise and do at the same time). One pivot! Two pivot! Well what does that mean? It means nothing, nothing at all because you aren't considering the players and those in support. You cannot say that Sergio Busquets 'does the work of two players' because you can't even define the 'work of one player'. It makes no sense. Busquets plays with Iniesta and Rakitic, right? Well if what you say is true is that really a lazier pairing of players to support than Modric, Kroos, and let's say Isco? It seems to me you are the bloke that isonly looking at the number's picture and saying 'Barcelona has one pivot that means more work than Real's two pivot!'. Just because you can look at list or a match formation and see that Busquets is a the only DM doesn't mean he is 'alone'. If anything from watching Madrid play more is expected of Kroos and Modric than Busquets. Nothing to say about their talent but Kroos and Modric have to do what Busquets does on top of what Rakitic and Iniesta do and make up for Ronaldo and Bale on the wings. Don't get me wrong, Busquets is the best in the world at what he does but he isn't even remotely comparable to Kroos and Modric, we may as well be comparing Sergio Ramos and Jordi Alba, yeah they are both 'defence' but its oranges and tangerines. I just don't understand the idea that Busquets is alone. Are Iniesta and Rakitic sincerely doing nothing? Maybe I've been wrong about Iniesta being one of the all time greats if that is the case. Many stupid things are a part of football, just because it exists doesn't automatically define it's utility.
  15. Pivot? What on earth are you talking about? Stop using these nonsensical flavour of the month football terms. Next you'll tell me Maradona was actually a subverted upside-down false-nine that played in closer style to Cruyff but occasionaly channels the sideways channel investigation of Di Stefano. Modric and Kroos have Moonface in a defensive position usually. If anything, if what you are saying is true, then Modric and Kroos have to work harder in a two man midfield compared to Busquet's three man midfield.
  16. That isn't fair. You can't discount the other midfielders that help Busquets.
  17. I'm salty as fuck that I have to work opening match day.

  18. dats sexist u cis male scum reported triggered and banned
  19. I always thought he was a very neat player, reliable, and a complete midfielder. Modric makes him looks like half the player in comparison, the later I rate as high as Iniesta. A total freak.
  20. But you say that as if he always planned to stay.
  21. I'd like to get my thumb up Marisa Tomei. Rawr
  22. It was a rhetorical question. It was a statement concerning that there is a difference betweeen the two actions.
  23. It was really easy. There was no sense of urgencey of difficulty. 1-3 had a sense of desperation as the player has to procure everything on site. The game plays smoothly and without a hitch but it has a direction issues. From a technical and functional view, the gsme is perfect but conceptually it falls flat.
