I considered going this summer but was concerned about it being hot and too touristy. This confirms my suspicions.

A couple lines in there that really caught my eye. Potential 95% withdrawal rate of investment, and who would be buying the shares (potential Arab, Chinese, or Russian investors) is the scary shit. Does something like this go to a full AGM vote (down the road if another offer comes along) or does/did the elected board make the decision to reject it? I wasn't clear on that.

I wouldn't say they've forgotten about it as much as it was a false dawn. Lim made a lot of promises and Valencia fans were anxious to be able to compete with the likes of Super League Club 1 and Club 2. It worked at first... but I think that was in spite of Lim and not because of him. As the years have worn on so has the resentment that he's not lived up to his promises. Now he just sells any inkling of talent to keep the club afloat.

I was listening to a podcast this morning and they were discussing him. Based on the stupid market that EPL teams set Frankfurt could easily ask for 70-80m for him should big clubs come calling in the summer. I hope they can make the CL and he stays, personally. Regardless... it's great recruiting on their part.
