  1. Ah nice, that whole approval of deposits etc is called 'finance' here, and when all that has gone through a settlement agent sorts the other jizz, and it's called settlement once you pick up the keys and everything is agreed and ready for you to move in. Exciting times, is this your first home? (I can't recall!)
  2. What does that mean? Don't think we use those terms!
  3. To this day, I still think that first movie is one of the best films I have watched.
  4. Haven't seen it/ Have been very upset this season lol. Fair play to our young lads but wow my club are an absolute joke. We beat top side, Melbourne City, 2-0 last night, and we played quite well. Outside of Reddy, Lachman and Fitzgerald, the team were super young, by the end of the game all but 2 players were younger than 22. FUCK YOU MELBOURNE CITY though, had to laugh that we won our 4th game of the season temporarily stopping them win the league.

Lady at work was going around saying similar, next day covid. It really is luck of the draw I think! However, as you say there is apparently some research that some people aren't getting it for reasons.
  6. Agreed - I wanted to avoid stamp duty initially (don’t pay on properties of X amount value and under), however went above it in the end… Internet rate rises seem to be coming. How about in Britain?

    Haha thought you’d be at 1000 x
  9. One Nation scares me a fair bit though. Somehow fell down a rabbit hole reading comments on Pauline Hanson’s page recently. So many racists etc.
  10. It’s a good point though - tbh probably most of that was new, I initially said some but the more i read it haha some shocking stuff isn’t there? My knowledge isn’t great when it comes to local MPs but it sure is above the average, which is scary, you’re right people need to know this stuff. Instead they generally seem to see it as well it’s liberal or labor which bloke running the party do I like more? When really it’s obviously a lot more than that.
  11. Some of it is, but as I said he’s helped family so know a little. Never said I’d vote for him though haha
  12. My local MP and he has held the seat of Hasluck for ages has come out and said he deserves a payrise. I didn’t mind him until that, although liberal, he is part indigenous (whyyyy the liberal party thoigh wowwww) and got my partners brother NDIS funding. But, yeah he’s probably going to be last or near last on my vote. Ken Wyatt minister for indigenous Australians.

Mine is dreadful however it’s all I use. I’m on the laptop at work, but at home it’s phone for family, friends, podcasts, music, news, this forum etc etc. Definitely need to limit it, that’s for sure.
  14. I am expecting Liberal to do well this time round, somehow. As there's so much hate for the labor state government at the moment (so it seems) and people will just think of the pandemic measures and not what the federal government actually do (or don't do!). Will be interesting to see what happens...
  15. It's going to be a nightmare voting. Always is!
  16. Hear the same stuff. Utterly baffling!
  17. A lot of the benefits here no longer exist. If you are remote there is usually heavily discounted accommodation and a bonus $7-15k a year depending on where (I believe) with 3 years service giving you like an early mini long service leave. I went country initially and no benefits except “discounted housing”. Hardly a discount. You can make decent money teaching, not enough to be rich, but you are putting in an insane amount of hours and soul into something. Property in regional areas seem affordable but then again, that isn’t for everyone!
  18. Hard to disagree with any of that. I am not looking forward to the interest rate rise soon. However, took potential rise into account with what we borrowed. I also acknowledge prices here, although mental, aren’t what it’s like in most places over east. It’s just terrible. Work wise, our union has finally reached an agreement in principle with the department over a bunch of conditions, headlined by years of yearly wage rises being essentially non existent and the fact cost of living is continually rising - I know it was asked for something like 3% increase as opposed to the $1000 a year standard across the government sector. I should be privy to the terms next week and I’m hoping we’ve begun to make a dent in the deficit.
  19. Loads of “not so brightest” people here (Australia), that I agree.
  20. As long as they can form a sentence better than you, they’ll be fine…
  21. I’m not sure what this means?
  22. Pretty sure that’s the beach I must get too down in the south of WA. I’ve been so close to it
  23. Haha, mate Perth has a lot to work on. As does Oz! Yes I haven’t found a good place to rolly polly since!
  24. oh, I know many places still have paper tickets? However the advice is a smart rider which is a card and saves loads of $$. You fool!
