The heat’s been pretty brutal lately for sure. But I am blessed with an AC, although not looking forward to the electricity bill next month.
  3. I sort of stopped paying attention to the number of cases and deaths for a while. And then I saw it today... and it’s a bit staggering. I looked at the 2020 population of where I’m from & it’s dwarfed by the number of dead people in so many countries.

So every once in a while I think about how long I’ve been a part of this community (I’m including the older forums in that too)... and it’s pretty remarkable that I’ve been talking to some of you on the internet for so long. Some of you I’ve known on here for... over a decade. Not sure what the point of this post is other than saying, hey guys thanks for being cool all this time and being my online football friends.

Back to food, here’s what I made on Sunday for brunch. Ham, cheese & mushroom quiche. Also my wife’s terrible attempt at making chocolate croissants

You may want to add more things to the menu if you’re going to make a career out of food. When was the last time you ordered food from somewhere and there was just one appetiser?
  10. If he’d never said anything I’d have assumed he just ignored morons on the internet like an adult. Instead he’s let the world know it gets to him. I actually think it’s a bit funny he’s tried to “shame” twitter into behaving better. It’s a cesspool he’s not going to change anyone’s behavior, if anything he’s made it clear he takes his social media comments too seriously tbh. Twitter’s a fucking cesspool and if you’re famous on twitter you should expect to get trolled relentlessly because that’s 90% (at least) of what’s happening on twitter. If he thinks the abuse he gets is bad, he should look at some of the shite black and Muslim players put up with. My advice to him would be to not take online trolls to heart, or to delete twitter if he can’t do that.
  11. Now that I know it hurts his feelings, I’ve sent him some mean tweets. Took about 5 seconds and made me lol. I’m glad he’s let us know it affects him. I’ll probably give him one a day now.
  12. I think Pep’s a brilliant manager, but it’s interesting how he always seems to outthink himself in the quarterfinals of the CL year in, year out. As far as Klopp v Pep, I’m biased so I’m not even going to give you my view - you already know who I’d pick. They’re probably among two of the most influential managers of this particular era of football, so whoever you pick you’re picking a good manager.
  13. Hasn’t it been achieved by Chelsea? And they’ve won the CL as well
  14. When people say Salah needs to pass to Mane more, I just roll my fucking eyes around in my head and ask them “how many times has Mane assisted Salah then?” Salah gets a lot of shit for not creating a lot for a guy who actually does create a lot.
  15. People have given Arsenal shit for sacking people during a pandemic. But tbh some of the changes at Arsenal seem totally reasonable - Arsenal are ditching their more old school scouting approach for a more data driven recruitment method like us and City, for one. And then this guy’s in charge of recruitment which is getting a massive overhaul and considering the money spent compared to the league position... its understandable they’ve sacked this guy (who also doesn’t get on with the new manager) and made an internal replacement. Particularly when they’re restructuring the whole way the club approaches recruitment and scouting. And a lot of these changes have probably been needed for a while.
  16. As someone who wasn’t around in the “golden days” - I think it’s probably what it sort of felt like after signing Keegan, King Kenny, or John Barnes. That brilliant attacker that just seems to immediately click and immediately instantly improve the attack. Same with Mane tbh. It’s pretty great when you consider that gif of the shite striking options from not that long ago.
  17. Sometimes it’s good to look back on dark times when you know they’ve passed. Look at this shite:
  18. Apparently Arteta hates Sanllehi and blames him for the current state of Arsenal. The manager and director of football need to be singing from the same hymn sheet. So if that’s true, it’s a good thing they’ve sacked Raul Sanllehi.
  19. I'm looking forward to seeing a bit more behind the scenes Mourinho. I think these "All or Nothing"s are a lot more sanitary though than something like Sunderland 'til I Die. Granted, I'm just judging that off the City one.
  20. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4158763/arsenal-investigate-72m-pepe-transfer-barcelona-start-hunt-for-new-boss lol what exactly do they need to investigate? Just look at the transfer value paid Understandable though that Arsenal have sacked a lot of scouts.
  21. The US just seized 4 Iranian tankers in international waters that were on their way to Venezuela.
  22. It’s unbelievable what they’re doing to these kids. This government never ceases to shock me
  23. He’s a massive cunt tbh for basically giving up any effort he had towards being an elite football player once he got his massive payday.
  24. I’m sure he will try that. And probably so will Modi and Bolsonero. Weird how so many countries hit so badly by this disease are the ones led by shitty populists.
