  1. To lighten the mood, let's discuss the pros of Kane going to Bayern: 1.) Bayern can play a front 3 of: Mane Kane Sane, which is mildly entertaining 2.) If this trio is really good and the social media crowd gives it one of those 3 letter nicknames (like MSN for Messi, Suarez, Neymar)... this presents the opportunity for the KMS front 3, which is also mildly entertaining C'mon Levy, do it for the mild entertainment.
  2. I might not have said the words "on the pitch" but I did say "he'd get more red cards" ... so it's fucking implicit. Let's also not conflate Israel with Jews, but also a teenaged Arab boy refusing to shake hands with Israelis (but instead fist-bumping them) isn't the weirdest thing in the world. Regardless of whatever anyone's political thoughts are... it's not hard to see why he's done that, but also came up with a way to not be a complete cock about it and acknowledge them during that customary handshake time. Meanwhile people (granted, it's morons on social media) have harped on about him being antisemetic back when he expressed concern about Gaza (the most densely populated place in the world) being indescriminately bombed. I think conflating Israel with Jews though is a good way of getting Jews who don't live in Israel getting associated with some of the more repugnant shit they do in their efforts to have a safe home for Jewish people & is used as a way of promoting antisemitism. And I say this as someone who thinks: 1.) Israelis/Jews should be allowed to live in peace in their historic ethnic homelands (which tbh doesn't just include Israel, but also the countries where Jews faced pogroms and had to flee) 2.) Palestinians should also be allowed to live in peace in their historic homelands. And back to Kane, he gets away with a lot - I think it's only fair the media ask him about it from time to time. "Always the victims" probably gonna be paraded out next
  3. You're the one trying to move heaven and earth to let us know how great Kane is because I said he's a fucking arsehole, then trying to bring in players who've played for us as though that means I can't have a fucking opinion on Harry Kane. Especially the anti-semitism shite - I had to google to see what the fuck you were even talking about and it was literally just a post asking for world leaders to "stop the killing of innocents." Meanwhile, I can say things like: I love Steven Gerrard, but he's an absolute arsehole off the pitch. I love Andy Robertson and he is absolutely, 100% a fucking arsehole on the pitch. I think Harry Kane is world class and probably the best England player of my lifetime... and I think he's a fucking arsehole on the pitch. It's... because he's got to explain how the fuck he got away with it on the pitch mate. If refs called it more often, like they should be doing, he wouldn't be having to make those explanations. And for the record, I've called it his signature move because he does it so often (because he's gotten away with it), not because I think he's invented the fucking move In any case, I hope the fucking arsehole goes to Real Madrid or Bayern where he's guaranteed silverware, or he stays at Spurs and further cements himself as the best Spurs player in history. And not because I don't want him to win titles with City, or Chelsea, or United, or us (and I'd love Kane with us, even though I'm not sure he'd fit in that great with us)... but because if he's going to stay in England and break the top goalscorer record/win things, it'll mean more for him (and for Spurs fans) at his boyhood club. So no, I don't have a vendetta against the guy. I actually think he's a world class player and respect that he's given so much to just one club. I just wish referees would not treat him with kid gloves so much.
  4. I think I am an ultimate professional, family man, etc. Basically the ideal poster and its only because of who I support and where I post that people try to find any reason to criticise. Sure, I'm not perfect on the forum, but who is, and I could list hundreds of posters who have lost the plot more than me.
  5. Saying I can't say someone's a fucking arsehole because Suarez played for us or because Nunez headbutted someone is fucking idiotic is what I was getting at. Similarly, saying "well because of what happened in our history, I doubt we'd have any racists ever play for us" is just as stupid as if I'd said "Suarez may have said a racial slur, but he's not openly racist because we had Howard Gayle & John Barnes play for us"
  6. What kind of bizarre vendetta do you have for stating the facts against this perfect saintly man just for saying something that you see literally all the time with your eyeballs. It must be because Suarez said a racial slur, Nunez headbutted someone and got sent off, or because Mo Salah thinks Palestinians have... *gasp* human rights
  7. I don't give a shit about Spurs and I want England to win something before I die vEnDeTtA
  8. Mate you're a club in England, the odds are you've had a racist play for you in the last 40 decades are nailed on. And didn't you have the homophobic fella refusing to wear pride shite?
  9. How's it nonsense (or a vendetta, lol) - he has his "signature move" that's pretty dangerous when he backs into players going for the ball and taking them out. You just don't see it as him being a fucking arsehole because he's the best player Spurs have ever had. FFS talking about me not being able to criticise a player because of who I fucking support - at least I can admit when a player for us should have received a red card. And how's it a vendetta - I think he should only leave Spurs if he's going to a club that's basically guaranteed to win big titles... otherwise he's better off just staying at Spurs and cementing his own legend. That's clearly me saying he's a good player who deserves success either in the form of something tangible (winning trophies) or intangible (an untouchable legacy at Spurs). WOOOOOW SUCH A VENDETTA.
  10. I imagine the Kremlin's an utter shitshow right now and if Putin ever loses to power, there's going to be a few oligarchs playing real life game of thrones trying to position themselves best to be Russia's latest & greatest autocrat. Putin comes off as really weak here even though Wagner guy (not gonna attempt to spell his name) failed. He fled Moscow at the news of Wagner heading over - which I think really hurts his "strongman" image; compare that to Zelinsky turning down the US's offer of safe passage out of Ukraine after Russia invaded and it's not really a strong showing of Putin's confidence in his military or his support within the Kremlin.
  11. I think he's world class and respect him a lot as a player. I also think he's a fucking arsehole. Both things can be true at the same time, dickheads. Has nothing to do with whether or not I support a club that's had racists play for them. Also: you've probably supported racists (& homophobes) at your club too
  12. It's because he gets away with blatant red cards all the time, amongst other things.
  13. I hope someone rubs smegma onto one of Ancelotti's cigars one day
  14. Kane's a fucking arsehole. I think he'll get sent off a lot more without the FA's refs feeling like they must protect the golden boy. He was physically shattered after his last season with us. And judging by our squad, that was the case for most of the squad tbh. And I'm not sure how much I believe in "mental fatigue" but if we think that's a real thing, I do think Mane's probably had a bit of that after our last season with him - playing every possible match we had that season but losing at the end to City and Madrid for the 2 competitions we wanted most. If I was gutted, I imagine the players probably felt pretty bad - tbh I felt his best form with us sort of coincided with him returning after winning AFCON (and being player of the tournament) while also being shifted from the left wing to a central role. If you want Thiago back, I'd snap your hand off to get Mane back tbh. But idk how much his recent injuries have caused wear and tear that's irreversible with him. He's a pretty physical player that's relied on his physicality - it's easier to not be the same player after injuries given the circumstances. With Thiago you know he's going to be out for about half the season and even when he's fit, seems like he needs some time to really get back into the grove to show his class in full.
  15. Tbf these are accounts by people who hate his guts
  16. I wouldn't say he's a maniac. just shit at running a football club.
  17. Idk if you'll be able to get Moshiri off the board now. He's sold a lot of his shares in the club, but he's still holding 49% isn't he? So he's still quite a big voice in terms of shareholder votes - and there's probably something in the agreement he's got with the other shareholders that guarantees him a spot there.
  18. I think Bayern & Real Madrid are the best options for him if he wants to go somewhere to win some titles. I'd have said City too, but they've signed that magical goalscoring ogre so they don't really need him. Anyone else he's been linked with in England only really has an outside chance at winning with the way City have cemented their dominance in the league. Chelsea are in disarray, United are still miles off from their local rivals. I think the only real reason to stay in England is if he wants the personal glory of being the all time top premier league goalscorer and tbh if he wants that... might as well just stay at Spurs and not taint his legacy at the club. I think if he's leaving Spurs though he's probably going as a free transfer next year. A lot of Spurs journos have indicated that Levy would rather lose him on a free than lose him now (I don't know why, though, it seems really really shortsighted). Tbh I think he should go to Madrid and fill that spot left open by Benzema.
  19. Embarrassing for Putin, so that’s good.
  20. What’s the winning badge look like? Villa have historically had some of the best looking club crests in the history of British football, so I’m always interested to see what they do next. @Fairy In Boots - does your pal’s company still have any contracts with the club?
  21. I don't know the exact answer and honestly, I haven't really looked into it very much... but I think it's because they had so many different crews searching for them in the area around the Titanic debris field, so once the Titan's (btw how weird to name the sub going down to the Titanic Titan... I guess the next Titanic-related sea tragedy will be onboard a vessel named The Tit) debris field was found close-by, and they made the assumption it was them. And they were able to quickly identify some of the the new debris found as the Titans... I think that's how they confirmed the implosion. I think the reason they had lots of difficulty locating the sub in the first place is because... there was no longer any sub to locate. When communication went down on the vessel along with the tracking at the same time on Sunday... I think that's when the implosion happened and they lost their lives. I think most of the crews looking for them were hopeful that they would find an intact submarine with people still alive in it. I think once the time for expected oxygen to have run out on the craft was up, that's when the search became less about finding survivors and more about figuring out what happened to them. I thought it would be virtually impossible to have found them in the event of an implosion just because... I didn't think there'd be much left to find and how difficult it is to find something missing in the ocean (after all... where the fuck is MH370?) though, and they managed to find them pretty quickly. I do wonder why the focus was on search and rescue and why that was presented to the media when many experts thought it was more likely they imploded. In the US, Fox News clown Jesse Watters has suggested the reason for the sub's implosion was because Oceangate was "too woke" - rather than the company's complete disregard for safety norms and standards. I dunno what the fuck that means, but perhaps he should be less of an idiot.
  22. I lol'd when I saw this. This guy hasn't been an owner of the club for years, and in his time as Chairman he's overseen a drastic reduction in the stature of one of the country's biggest clubs and effectively killed the ambitions of even the most diehard Evertonians. And they still can't get rid of him now that even the guy he sold the club to isn't even majority shareholder! On the one hand, I fear for the mental health of the sound Evertonians I know. On the other hand, it's pretty enjoyable knowing that a clown gets to keep running the circus. The guy's overseen such a long and bleak period of the club's history that was only ever really decent due to David Moyes being able to work wonders on a modest budget... and otherwise has been a really shit time for Everton. For the city's sake, I hope Everton can be rid of him soon. For Liverpool's sake, I hope he spends the rest of his lifetime making idiotic decisions that piss Everton fans off. It's a very conflicting place to be Everton have put me in.
