  1. Chopping and changing the defence doesn't help either. Three changes to the back five yesterday from the Arsenal game. Never going to get any better when you're making so many changes from one game to the next

Gonzalez stopped in the fourth last night. I fell asleep before it started but saw the knockout this morning. Think he'll drop back down to flyweight now. Saw Estrada v Cuadras, good fight. Buffer initially announced Cuadras as the winner which was wrong and should have been the other way
  3. The piece I read mentioned Ward too though. Would Klopp have refused him going out on loan if he had no intention of using him at some point?
  4. Paul Joyce reckons Klopp's going to rotate the keepers depending on competition. Mignolet in the league apparently, Karius in the CL. Presumably Ward in at least the League Cup?
  5. Malta on Tuesday. Finish work tomorrow for two weeks, can't fucking wait

Joe Joyce's pro debut is a 10 rounder against Ian Lewison. Good match up for his debut, looks like they're going to try and fast track which is no surprise at his age

Joshua should win in a few one sided rounds

Some good fights to look forward to this weekend. Usyk v Huck in the WBSS quarter final. Then Sunday morning (for us in the UK) Gonzalez v Rungvisai rematch. The first was a cracker. Inoue making his US debut, looking forward to seeing him in live action. Another Super-fly contest between the two Mexican's, Estrada and Cuadras, could be a cracker.
  9. Nothing to do with his ability on the pitch. His behaviour off it and unprofessional attitude
  10. And FSG's President is a massive influence on our transfer committee. He is their man over here...
  11. Some fair comments for the most part. I still hold doubts over our recruitment process. It is improved since Klopp certainly, the summer windows at least. There's a chance for the club to answer some of those doubts that I and others hold over the next couple of days. No new additions would see is left short again.
  12. I'm going to take that this is aimed at partly me. Firstly, I've never said FSG out or anything like it. I've been very critical of the way they've run the club at times yeah. Does the fact they've not had us on the brink of administration mean much of their ownership has been good enough? Of course it doesn't. If we compare every ownership to our previous one then we're setting very low standards
  13. Yeah he showed glimpses of what he was about, I don't dispute that but I think a lot of people were thinking if he's not signing a new contract, cash in on him because he's not shown enough to be making certain demands from us in terms of his new contract
  14. He was crap for large parts of last season mate. The last 6 months doesn't change that
  15. Mane obviously outstanding. Matip was good last season but was in and out of the side with injuries. Hopefully he can stay fit this year. Wijnaldum generally good but goes missing a fair bit. When he's on it though he's a good player for us. I don't think the rest from last season are worth talking about. Budget options for the squad and you can tell.
  16. I like Salah, he's a good player and improves us. The others I've not seen enough of to make a proper judgement. Robertson had a good debut but like I say, too early for me to judge.
  17. I don't believe that Klopp has a great say in things. Do you think he'd have gone for Karius who cost £4m and is on £25k a week if he wanted? Of course not. Football has moved on, I agree, but the problem is that the people on Liverpool's recruitment team are either working on an extremely tight budget or don't know what they're doing.
  18. I don't think Klopp does rate him though, don't care what he says in the media. He signed a keeper to replace him just last summer. If he rated him, he wouldn't have tried to replace him with some cheapo option.
  19. Reina of 2005 to about 2010 is the kind of level we should be looking at in a goalkeeper. I don't understand this acceptance that Liverpool can't sign a good goalkeeper. Have people's expectations been dumbed-down that much?
  20. No I'm fully aware you find faults with certain things and go over the top in criticism too, the quote about Robertson a prime example. We just clearly have differing opinions where Liverpool are going wrong in certain areas. And bet wetting? I think insinuating we'd have been better off sticking with Rodgers just a few months into Klopp's tenure is bed wetting, not having a criticism of something because it keeps happening over long periods of time.
