    It was a different time.
  2. Our own Prime Minister has placed a £1000 bet with the absolute beg that is Piers Morgan that there will be people deported to Rwanda before the next general election. He's not even pretending to care or even having a shred of humanity in his body any more. What has this world come to?!
  3. Game 97 - 15th Game 98 - 22nd
  4. GAME 97 - LUTON vs SHEFF UTD - SATURDAY 10th FEBRUARY, 15.00 (GMT) GAME 98 - BAYER LEVERKUSEN vs BAYERN MUNICH - SATURDAY 10th FEBRUARY, 17.30 (GMT) ***any predictions made after kick-off will not count*** @Mel81x @Lucas @6666 @Dr. Gonzo @Michael @Redcanuck @CaaC (John) @Devil-Dick Willie @JoshBRFC @Viva la FCB @Pyfish @Bluewolf @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose
  5. Two big matches in Europe for the latest round, and both first goals came in the first half. Game 95's was in the 37th minute for Lyon. No winners there. Game 96's was earlier, in the 20th minute for Real Madrid. All the winners: 1 point 1 point Also @Toinho with 2 points for his 21st-minute pick, and @Faithcore with 1 point as well for his 22nd-minute pick. Table after Game 96: Only one movement in the table as @Faithcore goes up into 7th place.
  6. Week 25 Results Hibernian 0-3 St Mirren West Brom 1-0 Birmingham Antalyaspor 0-2 Fenerbahce Ajax 1-1 PSV Hertha Berlin 1-2 Hamburg Macarthur 4-3 Western Sydney Middlesbrough 1-1 Sunderland Lyon 1-0 Marseille Inter Milan 1-0 Juventus Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid Round-up Out of the 10 matches, eight of them arguably had some kind of rivalry about them, be it geographical or competitive. The highlight of the week perhaps across the other side of the world in Sydney, as Macarthur beat Western Sydney in a 4-3 thriller. While no-one got that exact score, @Bluebird Hewitt can boast at getting 3 perfect scores from the rest of them, helping towards a score of 18 and go up into 3rd place, now just two points behind 2nd-placed @CaaC (John). Just behind, @Viva la FCB hangs on to his coat-tails a couple of points back but also going up one spot. @Rucksackfranzose also scored well to keep within touching distance of @nawoo who scored a lowly 7.
  7. A very good week following the midweek round of fixtures to round off January and start February... @Dan now has company in the form of @6666 as they are now both level on 312 points. The latter gets Prediction of the Week along with @Rajabhat Rovers for predicting a 3-2 scoreline between Spurs and Brentford. He and @Redcanuck are now only 4 points off the lead after getting very good scores. The latter reaches 20 points which is a joint-high for the week after @Lucas got the same score, and he is now level with @Storts, who dropped two places. Special mention to @Rucksackfranzose as well for also getting a Prediction of the Week. Same scoreline, but perhaps more unexpected between Crystal Palace and Sheff Utd.
  8. PREACH. Couldn't agree more. I don't mind managers and/or showing passion, emotion, joy, excitement, happiness after a win. It's what the game is all about. That emotion is raw and should never be replaced or eradicated. What I find weird/odd is the huge double standards on show. No doubt all of us would have gone batshit mental or been part of 'limbs' in a stadium when we've bagged an equaliser or a winner in a game that, in the grand scheme of things, probably doesn't matter because of the level of opposition or meaningfulness of the game in the season. Why should that be taken away from a manager or players who are living that moment on the pitch, after all the effort they've put in? The intensity of the game yesterday is increased because of what it means in the title race, but also because there's a historic competitiveness between the two teams. I don't get why the celebrations should have been muted or why anyone should have been so reserved. It just means a fucking shit load to everyone involved. The only funny thing is that even though they went hard on the celebrations yesterday, they'll still finish 3rd . Oh and I draw the line at celebratory dressing room selfies though like they did in 2016 and consequently missed out on the title anyway...
  9. @Pyfish @Rucksackfranzose @Bluebird Hewitt @Viva la FCB @Tommy @nawoo @CaaC (John) ***Note - Happy for anyone to make predictions now and include the AFCON final, and then edit later, as long as all changes are made before the deadline***.

  11. Stoppage time equaliser for Atletico at Real! Bellingham was class once again. Do is Camavinga. Real should have killed this game off much earlier though.
  12. It did, but you could fit a tank through the gap he left there.
  13. Not Alisson's best day at the office. Trossard did well to create the opportunity but no way Alisson should be getting beaten there through his own legs. Not sure why Klopp moved Diaz to right back though before that. One way to shoot yourself in the foot, move one of your biggest threats away into a defensive position.
  14. Checked by VAR too. Clearly kicked out. And then did he step on him as he got up?
  15. Considering Konate got booked for holding, Gabriel is lucky to get away with that.
  16. Not sure that's the case, especially for Arsenal's goal considering it was just one lump up from defence. It was lack of communication and/or responsibility and just a bad mix up. Don't think you can blame playing out the back as the issue, especially as Alisson was looking to smash it away. As for the Liverpool goal, again more a lack of communication and good from Diaz to force the mistake.
  17. Reminds me of Kabak and Alisson against us a few years ago. Alisson messed up there. Van Dijk had Martinelli covered.
  18. Have you seen the Stephen Schumacher stat? His worst defeat as a manager was the 4-0 defeat as Plymouth boss against us. He's broken that record yesterday already
  19. I find they always try to walk it in far too often. Like to create the perfect goal how they used to under Wenger. Liverpool laughing into the dressing room going in HT level.
