  2. And just on a very basic level, anyone avoiding the COVID vaccine(s) because of being afraid of needles doesn't have an excuse any more...
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59163899 First pill to treat COVID approved in UK.
  4. Bet the animals were devastated. One less option of a day out for them.

    Cooking

Have learnt how to cook some veggie Indian curries given that mum and dad are both quarantined! Made some chana (chickpeas) with rotli (chapattis). Turned out just like mum's!

    Cricket

Yeah I didn't enjoy reading that at all.
  7. @CaaC (John) what kind of cucumbers do you have in your house mate
  8. Cheers mate. She's doing okay, thanks for asking. Struggling with the quarantining as anyone would but she'll get there! Symptoms-wise not too bad. Lost sense of smell and taste but that's about it.
  9. Dad's now tested positive. Feel an air of inevitability that it'll come my way soon! Just before Diwali as well, planned to meet family on Thursday and Friday!
  10. with the amount of whisky you drink, I don't believe you
  11. Yeah I didn't see anything, at least in the highlights, that Mane looked stroppy or tantrums. In fact he looked quite relaxed even when his goal was disallowed.
  12. My mum tested positive for COVID on Thursday. Thankfully my dad, missus and I have all tested negative. She's double jabbed and I for one am glad for it. Without that I don't think she'd be here today. Or at least seriously suffering.
  13. Nearly 5 million people have died from COVID worldwide. Within that, is 140,000 in the UK. Deaths from vaccines in the UK? https://blog.ons.gov.uk/2021/10/04/how-many-people-have-died-as-a-result-of-a-covid-19-vaccine/ Approx 45m people have been vaccinated in UK. And only 9 of those have died, with vaccine as a contribution to the death. So tell me again, which one is rarer? With the data above, chances are dying from the vaccine is significantly and dramatically lower than from COVID. As for that foetal stuff you conveniently quoted, they also said: With HEK293 being the reference they use for that initial test in 1973. Something they've used for decades, so it's trusted and reliable according to the same scientist you referred to.

    Off Topic

John how does your mind work
  15. so there's no argument to what @LFCMike is saying?
  16. I think you're making a massive deal about it. He's stated he suffered from low confidence really due to recurring injuries, took a break out the team, returned last week and has vastly improved his performances, culminating in a goal and assist. He's just happy I guess he's found his form and is feeling more confident.
  17. so? He was getting stick from your fans and gave a bit back. What's the issue?
  18. To be honest, I'd find it hard to be treated by someone in the medical industry who hasn't been vaccinated considering it was probably similar modes/methods of science and testing and experiments that would have got them to where they are now (or at least a lot of their education and learnings would have been from such science). It genuinely does strike me as quite odd as to how many NHS staff won't get vaccinated but are happy to smoke their lives away outside hospital entrances where you have patients with all kinds of potential problems/health issues/conditions walking in and out in close vicinity.
