  1. Seb was insane. Rattled off some that were so far back as well. Impressed with Russell too. Given his age he put similar-aged drivers to shame!

Haha my old manager actually said I was like a sponge because I just take things on and absorb them, don't need telling twice often. Make a mistake and it'll only be made once kind of thing. And yes you've definitely had a few... It is excel You're not the only one - I struggled/struggle quite a bit about turning off. Took me a while to stop checking my phone for emails in the evening. @Bluewolf does/did nights so he's a seasoned pro you can probably get some advice off!
  3. Fair play to her. Making wise investments to 'fall back on' should the music career go tits up or she just doesn't fancy it any more.
  4. Yeah no-one mentioned the tackle before. Stamps . A stamp is is what Joey Barton does ffs.
  5. I can't comprehend it. If any of the players they support get snapped like that in any game this season I just can't imagine they'll be saying how 'unfortunate' it is.
  6. Whatever. Don't think we'll agree so will just leave it there.
  7. Can't agree with that I'm afraid. This 'unfortunate' aspect people keep bringing him. Think about why? He's flown in in a scissor motion which isn't really allowed in any game, let alone it being a friendly. It was vengeful. And malicious. I don't get what else people are seeing? Even if it's emotion talking now I don't see how it'll ever just be 'unfortunate'. It was deliberate even without the context of what happened a few minutes before. Nino embarrassed himself with his feigning agony and then miraculously recovered to do that. It actually disappoints me people just see it as unfortunate. If he doesn't go flying in like that there's no talk of fortune, or lack of. He knew exactly what he was doing.
  8. Don't be silly. Just a normal tackle mate. Obviously. Happens every game. Fofana should have just got straight back up.

Definitely. I need to keep reminding myself of that as well, that it's a learning curve. I'm an Area Housing Manager. So now managing a team of 5 Housing Officers. Before I joined a lot of current managers and colleagues said that most of management is now what you know but just managing people and expectations. Definitely feeling that at the moment. In our general department it's absolutely manic right now - people off on sick, leave, family emergencies etc. In what is already a very busy environment, it's made worse when just a few people go off for any reason. Exacerbated a lot by pretty my triple that usual amount and some of it sudden. Times like this you just need to pull together and get through it. Hopefully come out the other side at some point not feeling too dead
  10. Weirdos. It's a fucking dirty challenge in a friendly. Not necessary at all. He's scissored his leg and it was totally unavoidable. 100% that happens to an Everton player and you would not have the same reaction. Not saying Kabak is mate but right now we only have Soyuncu as a reliable CB. Evans is injured, Amartey isn't that great, Nelson is very young despite highly-rated.
  11. I think we'd be extremely fortunate to see him this season. Tarkowski's price probably just inflated a little. I think even getting someone like Cahill on a free would be worthwhile. At least until Evans comes back. We've been heavily linked with Kabak, too.
  12. The absolute cunt that is Fer Nino. Utterly disgusting as you say. Revenge for a small tackle Fofana did moments earlier. Nino did the standard Spanish thing of writhing around as if suffering an injury that Fofana did. Then comes back on totally fine and does that. It's fucking horrendous. Actually sickened me watching it. Clear ankle or leg break by looks of it.
  13. Nah I haven't mate, only Elite. Guessing it's worth a watch? Is it on Netflix too?

Bumrah delivering again. England collapsing in emphatic fashion once again. Very rarely can they hold an innings from start to finish any more.

    The Holiday Thread

    Sounds like somewhere @Batard lives.
  16. Cannot wait for this. It's also reminded me why I watch in Spanish and not English
