It's as if a hell of a lot of people knew the government were about to fuck things up, did fuck things up, and continuously fuck things up but it's someone from the inside (Cummings) who can reveal it in all it's miserable glory. Some of the things he's said so far: - on 12th March, Cabinet Sec told PM they had a herd immunity plan 'like the old chickenpox parties'. This is at a time where the virus was already spreading like wildfire in Italy and that that country had already been in lockdown for several weeks. - The night before, Helen MacNamara (former deputy Cabinet Sec) said 'I think we are absolutely fucked. I think we are going to kill 1000s of people' after being told 'there was no pandemic plan'. He says 'Cabinet Office is terrifyingly shit'. 'Hancock should have been fired to at least 15 or 20 things, including lying to everybody on multiple occasions in meeting after meeting in the Cabinet room and publicly' This is only the beginning, as well. I hate Cummings for the role he played in last year's shit-show as he is culpable as the rest of them, but if this means we are one step closer to getting the people in charge out of power then so be it. It doesn't make him a saint or anything like that, but it makes Johnson and his pals far more devilish and devious against the country and its people. And that will be remembered.

I doubt Ricardo goes anywhere. Not looked the same player since the injury. Worried about Tielemans the most. Then perhaps Fofana, Soyuncu and Ndidi. I'd be devastated if any players left, really. As for next season, it'll get very tough - Man City will be in pole position as they're likely to spend more. Chelsea will have Tuchel managing for a full season and I think are proper contenders. Liverpool as you say have Van Dijk back but I do wonder if the front 3 will remain? Man Utd will be stronger. Tottenham & Arsenal need the consistency and then you have the other sides that could compete such as West Ham and dare I say Everton. I think we're in a good position to remain competitive. We have a good core of a squad to do so and I hope that it doesn't get picked off or disrupted. I'd like to think players can recognise they can achieve here and not chase money elsewhere. For example with Tielemans he really is that classy I can only see him going to clubs like Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid or PSG.

We've been out of 'lockdown' since end of March... So far, all vaccines are proving to work against all variants. If these variants were that serious, why have we not seen case numbers/deaths spike up or have a serious effect? Go for it. What are the stakes?

Based on what? Vaccine works against the Indian variant so far. Cases aren't spiking. Hospitalisations aren't shooting up dramatically. Deaths are still mega low.
