  1. Funny I saw a headline earlier stating IDS said people shouldn't be given universal basic income as it encourages people not to find work.
  2. Such a weird thing to announce on a whim. Gives more questions and doubts than hope I think.
  3. Where possible, they should get drivers to race in their cars to the next race to catch up. Silverstone race finishes. Get on a ferry to Amsterdam. Complete Zandvoort, go to Spa, race to Magny-Cours, down to Spain, up to Monaco, through to Italy then on to Austria. Bit of a break for everyone else to catch-up and then get to the next continent. Most likely Azerbaijan onwards... Easy.
  4. F1 teams to help with having ventilators available https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/51963897
  5. Same boat as @nudge (lucky me). I can't ever see myself working in an office full-time again after having the experience of being home-based. I work much better planning my own time and we have quite flexible hours to work in (it's not strict 9-5). My routine is 8.30 - 4.30 but it could be be 10-6 if I want to. As long as I do my hours and get my work done, there's no issue. Whenever I do go in to the office I now realise I end up spending so much time catching up with people I don't regularly see and most of the time is not spent doing work.
  6. Sorry to hear that. Are you in a position to find other work or claim UC as a consequence of being out of work now?
  7. I feel for companies and individuals that work for such companies where they've immediately had to make employees work from home. Sometimes the infrastructure just isn't there - from equipment, connectivity, accessibility etc. In some cases people's world's have totally changed even if it is relatively temporary. Working from home isn't for everyone. I know that when the company I work for introduced it for is, a lot of people took time to adapt, some way more than others and dare I say the older generation it took longer. It's not as easy or luxurious all the time. But people have been forced to do it. I hope companies are patient and tolerant with their employees about it. Alternatively, I hope it makes people realise you don't need a fucking meeting for every single thing and an e-mail will suffice !
  8. Don't know about from 5 today but I've had 2 people tell me similar things already today. First a work colleague who has a friend in the army saying they've been prepared to deploy from next week. Not necessarily to be deployed, but preparing. Same was said from my cousin who is in the army...
  9. Good news for Wuhan and Hubei, 2 of the most significantly hit places at the start.
  10. Stupid. Fucking. Americans. Also that last guy is so high
  11. Ricky Gervais is amazing. One of my favourites. Seeing him live is superb.
  12. It makes sense as to why it might affect people so greatly because the underlying health conditions are probably already present. Lung/respiratory conditions are hardly helped when it comes to living in poor air quality.
  13. Schools shut in UK from Friday onwards. So not just Wales and Scotland, they seemed to just announce it earlier.
  14. What a weird exchange Was @Bluewolf actually asking about Batard's kid?
  15. Faithcore banned me from the German forum. Benson isn't happy but @Faithcore appears to be a bit of a rebel these days.
  16. @nudge @Tommy @Rucksackfranzose @Faithcore @Viva la FCB @SchalkeUK
  17. Anyone get the feeling @Inti Brian is not a fan of Brazil and Chile?
