Majority of the races have been incident-free and yes, I'd say Mercedes' dominance is making it a bit dull. The race last weekend had a bit of spice to it given what happened with Vettel but contentious moments seem to be few and far between. The fact no-one appears close to challenging them short-term or in the long-run makes it hard to get very excited about what goes on. Not writing off the season though as will still watch some races here and there when I can.

England will be fine. Roy is a big miss but they've got enough in the rest of the squad to still build big totals/chase targets.

West Indies aren't shit. Bangladesh have seriously improved over the last few years. Emergence of some players in the IPL and just generally good investment. West Indies are going through their own period of transition though. I thought they'd be better than they are but they have some really good players. Just need to play a bit more regularly together and they'll come good. Shakib is some player.

I think the top 4 as it is is how it will proceed with following this group stage. Not that order but they've been the strongest teams so far as halfway stage comes round. Really is a shame that so many games so far have been wiped out. It's a year too late that the World Cup was hosted in this country

Sad that this game has to end because of the weather but the collapse around halfway through the Pakistani innings did it for them. 4 wickets for 12 runs I think. Kuldeep was superb.

The only other option would be to have reserve days for this kind of tournament so if there is a day of rain to wash out a game, it can be played the next day. Lots of logistical issues with ticket availability and venue availability that comes with that, though. And with the current format, it wouldn't work because there's too many games. Unless the format changed (to something like a group format (2 groups of 5 etc, top 2 go through to a semi-final/final)) then it'd free up a lot of days spare.

Doesn't make it look dumb at all. Don't think credibility is affected either. Cricket doesn't work in the rain and it's just fair for each side that they don't lose points but gain 1 each.

Paki was the term given to people of Asian origin back in the 70/80s by the far right skinheads. Not just to people of Pakistani origins - basically anyone with brown skin got labelled a Paki. So yes, it is a racial term that shouldn't be used. Think there was a trial game once in an indoor arena but wasn't that much of a success.
