  1. Floptus sport. Peter Drury (excellent) and some flog.
  2. I have been sooooo frustrated with the co commentator on my platform. He's been frustrated that England 'didn't go on and chase the winner', and that 'they reverted back to playing deep'. Umm no sweetie, it's called, the better team having control of the ball and the game.
  3. If this goes to extra time Spain will rue those missed chances. They could have been 2-0 up and they keep finding shots that are decent but savable from good opportunities.
  4. Okay England have used their miracle get out of jail free card now, next goal is the one that counts for Spain!
  5. Manchester City have the best squad in the world but they are a different team without him, hence my concern.
  6. Phwaaaaar nearly 2-0. When Rodri went off I got that horrid feeling. Unbelievable how fortunate England have been with those
  7. Because project 2025 is the current king of the US electoral news cycle. After being shot at and remaining uninjured he has lost absolutely nothing and gained an absolute fuck load so that's not correct either. Again I am not team conspiracy but I don't think it's a 0% chance either.
  8. I don't think it was staged, but, just for arguments sake... Staged and fake are 2 different things. Do I think the CIA had an enormous hand in 9/11? Yes. Did they sacrifice thousands of lives to make it happen? Also yes. If this was such a case who cares (on the conspiratorial side) if a person was killed and others were wounded? You get a sniper, he fires into the people behind Trump. Trump grabs his ear and takes cover at the speed of a snail. You now have a dead martyr, a couple of living ones, and Trump is also martyred with the benefit of being alive and the benefit of project 2025 falling out of the news cycle, with swing voters no longer thinking about the fascism manifesto and now thinking about what a victim and hero trump is instead. As I said, I am not at all convinced and would need to see the usual list of crazy 'coincidences' that are linked to any good conspiracy theory that I actually buy into at all (JFK, 9/11, Epstein's suicide ect). But there is definitely motive and a benefactor, and if that's all someone needs to raise suspicion then whatever. I don't think it's 'insane' or 'stupid' to think. It's just not at all provable.
  9. So I am 100% behind you on the racist fans from last Euro. But Southgate has deserved EVERY drop of criticism he got prior to the Netherlands game. The quality of football and lineups were unacceptable, and in both knock out games had you not had an individual piece of brilliance inside the dying minutes, the results would have been unacceptable too. You can't just blindly support a team who is scraping by teams they should be beating handily, or you'll continue to be served up that quality. Criticism is a driver of improvement, and if your argument is 'well we won those 2 games so we were good enough at the end of the day' please never manage a team because that doesn't work long term.
  10. They were a bit shit but weren't finishing outside the top 5 in their league shit. Or playing 11 in the box park the bus shit, they just weren't a top 3 or 4 side on paper.
  11. Still watching, reminds me of season 7 of GOT. High production, but dumbed down a lot and mid. 2 major annoyances so far this season
  12. I mean even Liverpool only did it once. You did it twice. You're the jammy git champion of europe. It's in the record books forever.
  13. Spain were quite good last Euro and WC too. But this year no one other than Germany has come close imo. The French were dedicated to anti football The Netherlands and England have been a shambles Italy, Portugal and Belgium were genuine garbage. Spain have just 1 game to go, and if they hold their nerve and no crazy luck or bad luck is involved, you'd expect them to win at a canter. But this is Southgates England, and weird shit like Hernandez barging a player over in the box with minutes to go, or a random worldie going top bins, or the worst penalty decision of the tournament just keeps on keeping on. Surely somethings gotta give.
  14. A lot. Lets be real, the teams England pumped out in the group stage were no where near the best possible combinations within the squad. But for all that it's southgates job to have the best team for the job on it from day 1, those late goals in the knockouts have afforded him the luxury of being able to adjust game by game, until now shock horror he has found strange things like Playing 2 midfielders in the midfield is good. Saka and Foden down the same side of the pitch is dangerous. Foden and Bellingham need to be afforded some space between them so they can operate. If he realizes Kane is as useful as an arsehole on your knee, England have a punchers chance.
  15. Hahahaha I'm glad there was no harm done just an autistic af observation.
  16. I am. I watched the whole thing. England, bar the offside, offered literally nothing. The Dutch were dangerous from set pieces and had a couple of counters that required cynical fouls, and even a trio of real chances, VVD the one that Weghorst should have done better with, and the one that was cleared awfully to Xavi. I'm not saying the Dutch annihilated you or anything, but they were the better value. Sure, I have already said at half time the 1-1 was warranted, but that's not how football works. You get what you get, not what you deserved (god knows that's why you're in the final) Here's a thought experiment for the class who are gonna downplay that 1st England goal. Imagine in that chance when Weghorst and Ghuehi are wrestling when it bounces off Ghuehis arm, that a pen is given, and the Dutch win 2-1. And I was parading about going 'well sure it's not ever a pen, but the Dutch were better so it's fine'.
  17. I have a Harry Kane hairline at the very least.
  18. This about sums my position up. Nothing in football is a forgone conclusion, but Spain, hungry, in a final, should dogwalk this England side, even if they reach the level they did at times today in the first half.
  19. Umm. Brother, it's a fact? I have added no special sauce. You're allowed to be happy if you're English, we're football fans, we take them how we can get them. But as usual, no one will have a real argument against Your 1st goal was an awful refereeing decision that has changed the outcome of the game Your 2nd goal was in injury time with no time for the Dutch to respond after they had the better of a turgid and uninspiring 2nd half. It was an absolute smash and grab.
  20. I thought you'd been going to the gym for the last few years?
  21. I mean it was easily your best performance, and it still took a referee call so bad that not a single English member here has argued it to make it happen.
