I’m not asking for a numbered margin of error. I’m talking about looking at a replay and being able to say “he’s clearly offside” without using a tape measure. Nobody here thought it was offside when we saw the replay. Let the video assistant look at the footage and if there is a CLEAR & OBVIOUS error being made by the on field referee, then you intervene.
VAR was also brought in to fix clear and obvious errors. Not seeing Salah or any player being 1mm offside isn’t a clear error by the referees on the pitch. It’s farcical.
I think we need to pack it in with “if Leicester don’t do x then they are x” they are missing some big players themselves, including their keeper who will likely be out due to getting KO’d last night. We still have plenty of firepower in this team. Salah is a massive miss for us, but Jota has been excellent and Shaqiri has been fantastic when brought in so he will likely get minutes. Then we have Thiago and Fabinho coming back which is a boost. Henderson and Robertson have nearly a full week to prepare and be treated for these muscle tightenings.
I think we all need to keep in mind that most of these are short term injuries. Between 2-4 weeks really. VVD & Gomez the only two long term. It’s not dire straits for the full season, even if it does seem to have came all at once.
Btw, how is this happening during the camp? Are these players not tested before they go in? Then kept away from family in the team bubble? How the fuck does a player end up testing positive mid camp? Fucking taking the piss.
I hope Liverpool don’t let any of our players go out on international duty for the rest of this season. It’s beyond a joke, and the club should be priority.
I don’t get what’s wrong with that comment...
If we win the league this season, with our first choice centre back partnership out for the majority and having to rely on an injury prone player and kids for a large part of it then I’d say it would cement Klopp as the best manager in world football HANDS DOWN.
It’s our luck for Matip to get injured once Fabinho is back fit. Really think that a short deal for Garay isn’t the worst idea in the world. If Gomez is out for an extended period we have to do something.
I mean....Virgil, Thiago, Matip, Fabinho, Trent & Gomez all missing for periods of time this season already and it’s only on game 8. I think that’s enough to complain about.
Here’s hoping we can beat Atalanta in the next CL game and then we won’t have to worry about the other two games that much. Leicester and Wolves are the hardest games he is out for, but I trust Milly to do a job for those. Leicester and their counter attacks is an issue though. Hopefully Trent is back to face Spurs.
