Belated happy Birthday @LFCMike. I swear, I thought you were in your late 40s.

Finished the first season of The Wire and it is glorious.

Kinda agree with this. Even when they will open up, it will be with strict rules. We all are going to see more work from home stuff, and 3 working days week for everyone, with 50% of the staff in the office at any given time. Also, instant or quick testing kits for players in sports to allow games to go ahead. We are going to see riots in a lot of countries - especially undeveloped or developing countries. The gun totting idiots are just plain idiots though. That's just terrible. Dengue is the worst.

Wife has recieved the dreaded mail from work: either agree to the new restructured wages, which are substantially less, or submit your resignation. Friend, who is another company, received an email with a similar template. I suppose, this is how most companies would go forward. Easier to force people to quit rather than fire them. On the pandemic front, we are doing somewhat better than most other nations - at least so far. Can't say the same about my state. Probably the worst in the country, where others are doing better.

Do watch this, you will like it. They actually made me cheer for the Aussie team. Also, apart them England and Indian teams get a fair bit of limelight and compliments.
-
Excellent, thorough and factual exposure of this country's most celebrated Historians (predominately left wing) who for decades ruled the academia like actual fascists by bullying people and destroying careers of people who dared to think differently or put forward a different perspective. Also, exposes how these people meticulously whitewashed the crimes committed by genocidal Mughal barbarians with revisionism. This is essential reading for most Indians, and anyone interested in India's actual history.

I thought this would be a perfect place to put this. I just finished watching this, and it is up there with all the good sports documentaries. I know, this is meant to be sort of a good PR for Australian cricket post sandpaper gate, but still all the 8 episodes are entertaining. If you haven't watched the Netflix IPL series on Mumbai Indians, then this will be a whole new insight into cricket team's inner workings. You also get to see certain players in a different light. Lyon and Paine are really likeable guys. And Steve Smith is just a genuine great. The way he talks and thinks, shows how he is a level above others. Special mention to Zampa - Stoinis bromance, which is weird but hilarious. On a side note, as an Indian who mostly saw Indians sides being thumped by Aussies in Australia (baring the 2002-03 series under Ganguly), it was great seeing Aussies admire our players and in some cases being plain frightened. I would recommend this to all the cricket fans here. Just a good sports series.

Going out to shopping is like going out for a treasure hunt. Apart from Milk and Medicines, getting anything else is just dumb luck. Guess that's what happens when you choose to live away from the railway station and in a quieter part of the suburbs. The other absolutely worst thing about this pandemic is that I probably won't get to eat Alphonso Mangoes. The mango season has arrived and I see none around. Shame for the farmers as well, who are going to endure a huge loss. On a side note, city has entered the fucking community transmission stage. Now things will get absolutely wild in here.

Just finished watching The Hunt (2020). And it's a shame this movie got caught in an unnecessary controversy, because this is just an entertaining movie. Pokes fun at both the political sides; the humour is good and the actions scenes brilliant. Go watch it with an open mind. Nothing deep or amazing. Just a plain enjoyable movie.

Pakistani media declared Boris dead.

Props to Ox for knowing multiple languages (or at least how to say Happy Birthday in them). Nice to seethe team in good spirits.
-
Yep, they deserve it. And if we had held onto that midfield for a three-four years (with Torres uptop) the team would have dominated Europe.
-
That midfield trio of Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano will never be bettered. It was just perfect.
-
Palki Sharma. You're welcome. Add my city Mumbai to that list. Population density plays a huge role. Even when we are sealing areas where cases are appearing, it is not helping matters.

I never watched Clemence play live, but having read about him he is rightfully a great. But Reina wasn't half bad. Won golden glove three times in a row. We celebrate Alisson and Ederson for being good passers, but Reina was great with his feet before it became cool to be ball playing goalkeepers. And on top of that he was good guy. I don't remember anybody saying anything bad against him (except maybe the Gooners because he put a Barca shirt on Cesc for banter). He is my all time favourite Liverpool goalie too.

Brand China has taken a massive hit, but meanwhile they profiteering like hell right now.
-
Channel mostly headed and run by Indians . Some of my commie comrades here hate it, because its anti-China and pro Indian government (to an extent). I mean, their editor in chief, Sudir Chaudhary is absolutely hated by the left here. @topic Tablighi Jamaat members continue to be scum - shitting in quarantine centre rooms now.
-
Oh, okay. I thought they had done that deliberately, since Ritchie had mentioned how Snatch wasn't that huge a success in States because of the strong accents. @topic Watched Orphange. Really good Spanish horror flick.
-
I had tried to get myself to watch it in the past. Once almost started it, before becoming busy. Finally getting down to watching it. Two episodes in and I am loving this.

One of the best responses

@DeadLinesman making creative videos during the lockdown.

Boris will get the best treatment, including plasma from a recovered patient, but how he does depends entirely on his body. I hope he recovers. It also doesn't bode well for the nation to see its highest authority falling during a battle. It would be a psychological blow.
-
Watched it too. It was a decent movie with basically no story.

This comes on the back of reports of Hindus and Christians being denied food during lockdown.
