  1. Especially with the Social Media craze and those particular toxic sites.
  2. Injuries happen in all sports and they suck. They do seem to have piled on the Spurs recently and they have hit a very rough patch of it lately. There also don’t seem to be much end in sight throughout the month of December with a jammed packed scheduled and starting off the Man City doesn’t make thing any easier on the Spurs. The thing is injuries heal with time and prior to these multiple injuries to key players the Spurs were a top notch club and I suspect once January rolls back around they will be right back to that sort of play. The key for the Spurs is they need to salvage some points in the month of December and not continue on this streak of getting zero points each week. The Man City game is going to be a tough one to start that streak from ending, but if the defense somehow steps it up a notch and I have no idea how that can be against the likes of Haaland and the rest, but if they can and the Spurs can get a draw out of this game that is a great start. We shall see and we just have to get through these injuries and the month of December.
  3. My boyfriend is also from the UK and been here over 5 years in America for his job. We are going to get married soon so he will end up here for good although he will probably become a citizen as well.
  4. Thank You, also I believe you are another from America.
  5. In present day it is the husband doing this for the wife. Not just on December 31st at the end of the year, but every day of the year.
  6. Thanks, I’ve been enjoying the chatter so far.
  7. Hopefully the Spurs can turn things around with a pretty new American supporter in the ranks now . Haha

    NHL

I don’t really follow the NHL, but this is a sad situation all around. First the death of a player during a game is horrible and the family and his teammates having to live with that. Now, the play happened so fast as it always does in the game of hockey so I have no idea if the players skate came up on purpose or not. I would hope that it would be that the player did not do it deliberately. Unfortunately, since the play did move so fast and it is somewhat difficult to determine for sure what happened 100% this horrible event has to be brought out into the forefront again. I understand that the facts need to be clarified on this, but for the family and his teammates it is going to be extremely hard to deal with . Not to mention the player that was charged, especially if it was not a deliberate action on his part.
  9. Here in the United States the International Women’s game is extremely popular and it is definitely warranted as they have accomplished quite a lot. I do watch the US National Team pretty much all the time they play and enjoy the level of play they perform at. The only thing that I do not like about many on the team is they seem to expect to win all of the time and they seem to be quite arrogant at times. When they got knocked out of the World Cup this last time, I actually think that did the club something good as it brought them down to earth.
  10. When I graduated from University, I moved into apartments as I really was just starting out in my career and I didn’t have any Savings at that point. As I developed my career as a Fashion Designer in the company I am employed at, I was able to save some money, but still needed help from my parents to get my first home in which I live now. Now that my boyfriend is living with me a we share all the bills that come with owning a home, it is much easier with having two incomes paying for the costs and it is much less on having to rely on my parents unless something big goes wrong within the home. It is so difficult to get a good Savings as we would like to for a future and eventually get married and have children, but they cost a lot as well.
  11. I suppose I should have clarified that better in saying the International game for England. From the brief few minutes yesterday, I heard about Mr. Venables prior to the Tottenham game they seemed to rave about his accomplishments and what he did for the English Club. My boyfriend added a few things, but the man was before his time as he mostly remembers as a younger kid his accomplishments with England as an Assistant and nothing from when he was the manager of Tottenham. He also told me he slightly remembers him managing Leeds late in his career.
  12. Heard of this news yesterday and loved hearing all that he accomplished for the International game and England as well as his involvement with the Tottenham Hotspur club. I never saw him manage, but from what was said about him yesterday he was a very well liked manager and man in the sport of Football. May he RIP.
  13. Fall/Autumn: Crisp evenings where we can have a fire pit in the backyard. The changing colors of the leaves. Summer: Going for walks in the evening, the beach/pool. Cookouts. Spring: All the flowers are blooming, more evening walks. Winter: Lighting the fireplace and being all cozy with my boyfriend with an adult beverage or cocoa.
