Manchester United Discussion
Carnivore Chris replied to a topic in Premier League - English Football Forum
I doubt Ronaldo will go to Man United. He's not stupid and knew what he was doing when leaving Madrid. Juventus are guaranteed to win their league every year and old players seem to thrive and score alot of goals there. Ibra has scored the same amount out there as a 40 year old this season in 8 games as he did in a full season in Spain. Immobile smashed 40 in last season, but couldn't buy a goal in Spain, or even Germany. It makes no sense for an older player to then move to a significantly tougher league at aged 36, to a club who are miles off winning the trophy. -
Yeah mate, I started watching it and never got through it years ago so I'm going to start watching that properly soon. It's 75 episodes though. Seems much more closer to the truth than Narcos as well and the actor is more convincing.

The 2 about the Cali Cartel and Medellín cartel are very interesting. The amount of blood shed is ruthless though. Also involved football as well as the Orejuela brothers from the Cali Cartel owned America de Cali. They were actually huge but don't gain as much attention as Pablo Escobar, although they were the ones who opened up routes into Europe. Interesting reading about the links to gangs in Liverpool aswell, who facilitated the coke entering the ports. What's interesting as well is that the Medellín cartel used to export cocaine paste from Peru and Ecuador(rather than cultivate in Colombia) and then convert it into white power in Colombia before it went off to the USA. The violence though, jesus. More a civil war than a gang war.

@El Profesor I think you're taking the whole "El Profesor" persona a bit too far now mate

This country will be awful to live in after this, especially up north. The only good thing about this country was the economy, but now that's crap aswell, it's going to be very grim times.

I don't see what Xavi or anyone would really do with this squad to be fair. Add all the injuries. It's going to take time and to be honest, it's needed. Spending ridiculous amounts on shite like Griezmann, Coutinho, Lenglet, etc, etc, etc hasn't worked and building with youth for the future is needed for me, even if it means enduring a few rough years. The whole reliance on Messi has ended. In the past 3 or so years, it was pretty much all him and it's time to rebuild a young team of players who understand each other again. Players like Fati, Pedri, Zest and Araujo all make for a potential bright future and Ter Stegen and de Jong are top quality, but the rest of the team is battered and old. It's a mix of young players nowhere near their prime and then a bunch of old battered ones past their sell by date. It's going to take time to rebuild and especially with the lack of finances at the present. That defence definitely needs work especially. I'd say 3 Centre backs and a left back, a striker and a midfielder were all needed. That attacking midfield role would be perfect for Messi at this stage if there was a top striker and another wide man(to compliment Fati) in front of him with a top midfielder to partner de Jong behind him. But I think Messi will be off after this season and we'll be seeing him with Neymar in France next season. Probably for the best all round though.

My city has some of the lowest rates in the country but is staying in "tier 3". Dragged down by the shithole that Lancashire largely is, or the country in general. It's all crap. Lower rates than any London borough, but that's tier 2.

Got to be one of them. But I always liked that Easy E album dedicated to Dre aswell. Reminds me of being at secondary school that . Classic though.

How great would it have been if someone just ran passed him while doing the interview in the street and smacked him in the mouth? I know, violence isn't normally the answer, but in the case of Matt Handcock, violence would solve everything. It would be so satisfying. Piers Morgan is s bellend aswell but it's great whenever he roasts clowns like this.

I'm certainly no @ASF when it comes to memory. That is for sure

All the books I was looking for are on here. I think you may have even recommended the same site years ago and I forgot.

Nudge, you always have the answer. Fantastic site with loads of choice. Thanks for the recommendation

I was looking at some El Chapo books but they'd need importing from the USA so I couldn't be arsed due to the wait.

I hope Trump wins. 1. Because it rattles people who care far more than they should about issues that occur in a country that is 1,000s of miles away. One which don't give two fucks about anyone else at that. 2. If we are honest, all American presidents are clowns(just like all ours are toff gimps) full stop. The US presidential election is aload of over dramatised, hyped up, wwe-like nonsense where it becomes a competition in who can make the biggest clown out of themselves. Trump surely makes a clown of himself and that makes him the perfect fit for that country.

It weighs about 20kgs, literally. It's like lifting a bag of cement. Alot of pages with pictures but still interesting. It was 55 euros in the Barcelona club shop(what a rip off) and I'd never pay that, but I picked it up from onbuy for 20 quid. They had it in English, Catalan and Spanish and I got the Spanish one.

Since clothes aren't essential, this fella went shopping without any on. Great way to make a point

I've started working for a utilities firm this week as there are 25,000 sensors that need to be installed to manholes throughout the North West and I got lucky to get on it with my mate, who does the driving(while I do all the paper work on the tablet). But anyway, we were in Stockport today, a postman was delivering a parcel across the road. The next minute, some huge, angry German Shepherd came running out at him, he ran inside a garden and closed the fence, then the dog turned and looked at us. I've never seen my mate run so fast back to the van, I myself also ran like fuck as well of course. The worst thing to do is run though, as by doing so you're enticing it. It wanted the postman and not us, so by running we were bringing the attention on to us, but in that moment you fucking shit yourself . Luckily the owner went out after it and managed to get it back in.
