This one always gets me. The palms of my hands sweat watching that and my toes tingle.
  3. I'll end up having to go to Whitley Bay instead
  4. Well hopefully these boarders stay open and then I can head to South Spain around the 2nd of Oct for a week since I'm back at work Monday. Was going to book it before but it's a bit early yet. Best waiting and doing a last minute thing I'd say due to the uncertainty.
  5. Closest big city would be Tarragona or Barcelona, but even they'd be a good hour/hour and half drive I would have thought. Lleida is quite out of the way.

You should have a go mate. Get fifa on, if they have it for the Nintendo. If you was to build a team on career mode, you'd end up as hooked on it as anyone

You should have rang Nintendo first to see if you could blag s new one of them mate. In about about a 5 year period I had literally 3 playstation 3s randomly just stop working on me and Sony replaced 2 of them for free, while I only paid about 70 quid(I think) for the third one. Funnily enough I never had a playstation 1 or 2 fuck up on me. And the PS4 has been fine(although I hardly use it for games). You're not one of these who starts a job and doesn't finish it are you? Or you put up a fence in the garden and as soon as there's a breeze, adiós..
  8. That has Tommy out of Power in it doesn't it? I was thinking of watching it just because of that. He was a class character in Power. I would be interested to know just how many mafia bosses, snitches, lawyers, ex-girlfriends, etc that he killed throughout the series as well
  9. Go into shops and banks covering your face, drinking in the streets..I genuinely didn't think I'd ever hear that.
  10. Sat out in the park today, this blasting on the bluetooth speaker, smoking a big fat one while chilling in the 30 degree sun. It's been lovely today.
  11. As for barrios, not all are that bad anymore. It just shows change can be made. Hopefully all barrios and favellas in South America are like this one day. A lot of it comes down to the media and the news also. They make the world sound a scarier place than it is. No, I meant when you go on holiday in Europe mate(after saving money), not general day to day life. I wish I was on 3 grand a month You spend that amount as you're always doing something, eating out, drinking(or smoking that good stuff), buying stupid shit you wouldn't normally buy, tipping waitresses and barmaids, etc and you can spend shitloads of money easily doing this, although in general day to day life this is obviously not the case. You're right with stabbings though, it's actually plagued with them in this country, although most of that affects young lads stabbing each other over bullshit. Also terrorist attacks can happen in any big city in Europe now.
  12. They actually use some of same words as you as I've noticed from speaking to a Colombian on whatsapp video calls. I didn't even understand her at first but she's learnt to speak slower . As I said, a lad from around here who I know has a missus over there and has an apartment so when he's out in Medellin, that is someone I know and if that bird stays in touch, she can come along to the coast. As for danger, is a lot not just the news making countries look worse? It's easy to watch the news and see a bunch of kids shooting each other in a street, but then you watch youtuber travel videos and everything looks much different. You can tell watching videos that the streets are edgy at night, but the night-life and general people seem friendly. It's more muggings/pick pockets to watch, but even then, there are loads in Europe so you just need to use your wits. The cost out there is ridiculously cheap. You could spend like £20 a day there, it's only the equivalent of £2 for a meal that would cost more like £14 here. When you're in Europe, spending less than £100 a day is seen as saving, well atleast for me.
  13. Well there are more "safer" spots to go to in Colombia these days I think than Mexico, more options to go to that are nicer. In Mexico you're looking at the likes of Cancun, which is just hotels and beaches if we are honest or Puerto Vallarta, which looks nice, with the whole Mexican feel, but not a whole lot to do. In Colombia you could go to Medellin and then head to the Caribbean coast and get the best of both worlds. But to be fair, they say it's more muggings/pickpockets you need to watch out for nowadays than the likes of kidnappings because the latter's not really been a thing since 2002. I'd actually say Police worry me the most in the majority of Latin American countries(well in the USA as well), they are corrupt cunts who would do what they can to extort a tourist. But still, millions go there every year and are sound(other than the pickpockets and scams that can happen), so fuck it. Let's go!
  14. I'm gona just head straight to Colombia instead of Mexico or USA aswell. USA isn't appealing enough Mexico is too fucked up and you're limited in where you can go. Cancun looks shit and Puerto Vallarta looks nice but not as nice as Colombia. Besides, the Colombian coast looks mint(Cartagena, Santa Marta..), a lad I used to work has a missus from there and is heading back to Medellín when he can and I've actually been video calling and texting a Colombian woman on whatsapp for the past month(don't ask...) and if I'm still in touch with her by then, I'd take her with me...that's not the reason for going though, as I've been thinking of it for a while and especially during the lock down. I just wanna go to the Americas and that seems the best suited country these days as Mexico and Brazil are too fucked. My savings have taken a blow as well so I need to be realistic and focus on 1 country. For 3 weeks probably. A mix of Latin and Carribbean culture. Got to have your wits about you over there but I'll just dress down and buy 2 mobiles for if I get mugged, which is just a what if, and to be fair could happen anywhere. And money there goes along way so I'll make sure to not carry too much at a time. The Spanish will help aswell of course. Depending on the covid, next year is the aim. March maybe? Feb? also if I do get robbed at some point do you reckon they will be reasonable and let me keep the sim? on a serious note, it should be alright. @Mpache @Berserker As for this year, I'm still thinking of Andalucía, barring the covid shit, and will probably go in Oct as it'll be too busy now. Spring and Autumn in Spain anyday.
  15. What is it like in Canada for riots also? It's just a big mess to be honest.
  16. Here comes the "rebrote" in China @Inti Brian, it was always going to happen. But aren't they saying in Italy that this new strain isn't as strong or have I misinterpreted them?
  17. The best part in terms of panic buying throughout all this would still have to be the scenes from the Netherlands at the start of their outbreak Thousands queuing up outside coffee shops for weed, then the day after, the government said that coffee shops could remain open .
  18. Do you watch it mate? It's a great series to be honest. Palermo is easily the best actor in season 3 from where I'm at up to now. A refreshing character as well with being from Buenos Aires. All the characters have something about them though apart from Estocolmo(Stockholm) and la inspectora/lisboa(Lisbon) as they are fucking shit.
  19. They are now going to be removing a lot of sugar and salt from foods and drinks in the country according to a nutritionist on tele. So like Lucozade, the likes of Coke will now no longer be drinkable as it'll taste like shit, and the likes of Mcdonalds burgers and other foods you may want to treat yourself to will also start turning shite due to all new changes in ingredients, etc? It'll probably also lead to various foods being banned entirely. Why should, what people regard as a bit of a luxury, be taken away because of a minority of obese people who are usually that way more because of the amount they eat and lack of exercise rather than the actual foods or drinks themselves? May not sound a big deal, but this is all principle. People are within their right to eat what they want. Let's just fucking ban everything. They will probably ban meat altogether soon, no more alcohol, can't walk down the street in case you fall off a 6 inch curb....Everything's offensive or a big health and safety risk in this country and it's genuinely embarrassing. "It's a risk to health" and how much shite do we breath in in terms of co2 gasses? How many people die due to car accidents everyday? How many people die at work on farms and in construction jobs every year and how many injuries? Let's just literally ban everything in life. It's a very patronising country this. Whenever you turn on the tv screens, some stuck up posh gimp is telling us how to live, how to eat, how to drink, how to do this, or that. Just fuck off is all I can say. It's pathetic. They are using covid as an excuse, what aload of nonsense. Letting a virus into your country in the first place is the problem. If a virus starts out in a country, then you take it far more seriously. Not allow it to kill loads of people then use the foods people consume as an excuse, track everyone's phones, or whatever other nonsense they are going to invent and use Covid as an excuse for.
