Seeing a lot about Palworld - anyone played it yet? It's free on Game Pass but apparently it's a few versions behind the Steam release due to Microsoft's approval process being drawn out.
We were discussing it today and while I love Pokemon I'll hardpass on a clone. What's even more funnier is that theres a Pokemon patch for it now and I can already sense Nintendo's lawyers waiting to strike.
On a more serious note, its loads of fun from what I hear and if you like those sorts of games you should definitely give it a try.

Couldnt agree more. As much as I think they did an excellent job for TLOU 1 remastered for example (AND I LOVE THIS GAME) I would basically never recommend anyone buy it for full price. its a ripoff when you can buy and enjoy it for like a quarter of the price for the ps4 remastered version.
I would have understood if they added more story fillers and game time that wasnt there in the original but I think upscaling a game is both just a cash-grab and honestly a waste of development time. What's worse is the praise it got and the fact that people still went out and bought it.

Which games would you love to see remastered?
None. I'd rather companies spent time on sequels or new IP. If a game really needs a "remaster" it should also come with the fact that you have to have it at 50% of the current market cost because honestly that's just a lazy business move. The only exception is if you completely rewrite the game from the ground up and introduce modern mechanics into it to bring the story to a younger audience that wasn't around the first time it came out. That really makes it a "remake" vs a remaster imo.

Good game of football last night. Jota has stepped up to ensure we're getting chances created and it was nice to see Nunez get some goals as he works tirelessly up front and even if he doesn't get goals himself hes always looking to create chances which is what you want at the end of the day.

Yeah, it seems to be a couple of new games mixed with collections and remasters at present.
I admittedly haven't played Uncharted 4, but my understanding is that it's 100% the final game in the series, so unless they do prequels, I can't see Uncharted coming back.
Last of Us I can see lasting longer, especially with how successful it is at present, though ironically there's more remasters than new games in the series now.
Personly, I'd love to see a new IP similar to Crash, though that's more the kid in me wanting that. If they do a new one, I wouldn't be surprised if it's something similar to Uncharted or Last of Us but with something a little different (ie. both are technically adventure games, though Uncharted is more action and Last of Us is more survival horror).
Money has a funny way of making things we think are impossible, possible but I hope they've put a lid on it completely.
I think TLoU will last another two games personally but honestly their content is dry at this point and I'd like them to do something different like FromSW does when it takes breaks from doing soul-like games. Having said all that you're probably right in that they'll do something very similar to Uncharted with a new spin. I don't really consider TLoU as Survival Horror its more adventure and a lot of drama/story.

Naughty Dog needs news IP. Their old ones are getting rather boring at this point.

Just saw the highlights. Something is clearly wrong with Chelsea because Boro gifted them more than one chance to score and no conversion. Very odd.

The biggest disappointment in this thread is that Ryan Gosling isn't going to play POTUS. I'd totally line up to watch him sing about his sorrows and then get an award for best Box Office Achievement.

Happy New Year everyone.

Nice to see The Bear at #1, it really was good TV imo and you sort of see where the season is going you just don't expect it to end the way it does.

IMO the best female pundit/commentator about football going-ons I have ever heard is Melissa Reddy. I'd rather have her report on things than a lot of her male counterparts.

He's lost outside of Ajax, he will be a disaster.
Lets be honest here. He's been shit for you granted but I don't think that's just down to the player alone. How does a player go from playing so well to almost non-existent and lost in a midfield? I'd argue that he had some of the best of his generation in midfielders at Ajax who were able to compliment what he bought to the table. Contrast that with what he has to work with at his current club and you can see why he may not be optimally performing. I thought when the manager changed that he would become good again just based on history and knowing how to use him but that doesn't seem to be the case. I think he'll come good at Frankfurt but it will take time because he's been out of it for so long he's going to need to recalibrate.

Well this year has been quite something. My wife and I recently lost our 3rd baby during pregnancy, and had to give birth to our child at 22 weeks. Funeral is next week. I'm not sure I have the bandwidth for Mafia Wars this year sadly.
So sorry to hear that. Condolences to you and your family during this tough time.

This is not the way!
Clearly. My whole year revolved around a few titles on Steam - DOTA2, BG3, Mini Motorways (I am addicted and not ashamed to say it) and Wingspan to play with friends haha.
My PS5 year on the other hand is just filled with all kinds of good things haha.
My Switch probably takes the cake for most used this year.

Odd but I spent most of the year on my PS5 and Switch with the only exception being Baldurs Gate which I played on PC. What's even more odd is that all the games I theoretically could have played on my PC I ended up playing on my PS5.

I can't see Spurs winning it anytime soon. They lack the consistency and depth which are required in the modern game to actually mount a title challenge. Plus they're competing (like everyone else) with clubs funded a lot better than they are.

Somewhere between 6 and 7. My uncle had a 3 and I thought it was cool like he was spy who had secret missions haha.

Video games’ biggest trade show has been permanently canceled | E3 | The Guardian
Some of my fondest memories of game hype came from this very event. Whether it was the release of a MGS trailer to things like Killzone that made me go wow they are pushing it. I also remember going to E3 in 2005 and thinking how nice it was to see so many people passionate about gaming all under one roof. Sad to see its demise really but it was inevitable considering how publishers and console devs wanted more me time. What are some of your favorite E3 moments if any?

I'm just glad we didn't lose this game today. At one point it looked like they were trying and then just gave up which is good considering the final result. This team has a bit more ways to go for me to call them true title challengers. Are they exceeding expectations? Certainly. But is this a team that can clinch a title? I am not so sure about that. Teams around have been floundering more than a dominant display by Liverpool.

Disgusting performance in this game by us. Its not like there weren't chances and its certainly not like they werent there for the taking either.

Be rough if that is called as a penalty.

I think Ten Haag must be quite pleased they've gotten out of this first half with no goals conceded.
