He first goes against a direct denial to travel, then keeps records on his phone about things he was going to do and even shows DPKR how to send money? I don't know what he was expecting to happen here but its good that he got arrested and spends time in a cell to contemplate the stupidity of his actions. This isn't the first offense either.

I am very curious how the Tone Print mode works with frequency blocking.

Be prepared to hear. "I tried to play Killing Me Softly for my girlfriend and the pedal did such a good job she said it was the best thing she heard all week ... silence"

I think my fear is 100% in my head and not in the pedal. Even with a more expensive unit the board isolation will be a exceptionally good to last a long long time. I think you summed it up rather well, you have to be intentionally destructive to destroy a Boss pedal and even then you may not succeed. It's also why I always ask the person I am buying the pedal from what they use it for, if they say home studio its an instant okay, if its been on stage or on the road a lot then I think twice because sometimes just sometimes people have the tendency to use an 18V with a 9V point on some pedals and its not noticeable in the short run but you run that for a long time and it starts to wear out the IC.

I think that's the right approach too. I sometimes think I should get a second-hand pedal and let me say for the record there are some very nice second-hand pedals I have seen and some that I have bought and sold/exchanged for stuff I wanted myself but there are also some pedals I will never buy second-hand. The top of my list are Distortion pedals. I do not know why and I have no clue where I got this in my head but I figure a pedal taking that much of gain abuse is going to not be worth it second hand if its seen stage use so anytime I see someone selling one I always think twice to myself.

I like the Decimater especially for the sheer simplicity of it as a peal. The price, as you said, is ludicrous and it doesn't help that they dont sell them here anymore so the price is literally almost double so I had to kiss that goodbye. I also agree that if its a pedal unless it has something so phenomenal (like something from Strymon or Darkglass) then you're literally getting a very good IC board with some special sauce. Can you get an NS-2 second-hand? I am sure you'd be able to find something out there?

I went with familiarity myself. I will say this about TCE products they are very good and at the end of the day its a noise-gate and honestly there are ones which you could probably invest in which are way shittier than what Boss, TCE or the exotics throw at you but price-wise Boss all day long. I have two pedals from them Hall of Fame 2 and Spectra Comp (Bass Pedal) and both of them are really really good. The Spectra-Comp is that new type of pedal where the computer does most of the work which is why I said look out for the second type which may seem cheaper but its so hard to use right if you don't have a device to connect it to (you can assign the switch but it becomes very limiting). Having said all that when you do hook it up the pedal turns from a simple dial-based machine into a studio of sorts because your customization goes off the charts.

Yeah it was the Sentry by TC Electronics. It's rated quite well too and it does have the sturdiness of the NS-2 as well. Just remember to get the full-blown one and not the multi-band one as that is also very good but you'll need your phone or a laptop to configure it and its fine if you've got something like that setup all the time but its a pain otherwise.
  9. The first one is a masterpiece imo and even today it puts a lot of machines through the gauntlet. My favorite part of the first one is how you can fast switch abilities in combat and it was so fluid too.
  10. You should also listen to Mozart Heroes and some of their covers which I think aren't as good as Apocalyptica but its a very interesting take on Metallica songs when you have a classic guitar and Cello. The other one I really like is Orion by Rodrigo y Gabriela. That woman always mesmerizes me when she plays rhythm.
  11. They do a rendition of Nothing Else Matters which imo is far more emotion evoking than the original by Metallica and probably fits the bill for why the song was written in the first place.
  12. Brighton, Everton, Bournemouth, Watford and West Ham before facing Leicester by which stage we might see them drop another 3 points against City because their fixture list is also rather favorable. Sorry West Ham is TBD.
  13. Sometimes I forget how many little nuances there are in this song which make it a masterpiece.
  14. Lets just hope its the lesser of the two but this is going to now cause problems when we play the last game of the CL group stages too and the December PL fixtures as well. He'll miss the Club WC but that can go to hell for all I care. I just hope we don't sustain anymore injuries.
  15. Its Nintendo appreciation month for me so I went out and got two games for my Switch as I figure if I am travelling might as well play some fun titles. Picked up Luigi's Mansion 3 and Astral Chain for the Switch. Haven't really started the Luigi game but Astral Chain so far has been rather good. If you've got a Switch and like Bayonetta style mechanics give it a look into.

On a side note, you ever use one of those famous drop d tuners? I forget what they are called now ... Hipshot thats it. I used to have one on my precision bass.
  17. Why do I feel this isn't the first time they've done this? I don't get the idea of doing this either as they know what the score is and isn't there some debate going on about students who have applied for green cards too?

He has forearms that are bigger than the neck of even a 6 string bass and theres a reason why. Most of his work on songs from the older albums are like a workout.

I actually like the percussive bass in that song and its one of the songs I actually took time to practice when you posted it because it has, like you said, a very bluesy backend to it all. Being forced away fro the low E actually also forces you to learn the board a lot better in my experience and once that happens then you can really start to build your own fillers. The other nice thing about that song is the amount of respect for time you will develop as the little riffs all have excellent stops and restarts.

Since this is a Making Music thread I figure we could share what we're trying to learn right now. On my plate are two songs which we're working on as a band to get finalized for some YT work. Black Sabbath - God is Dead - The bass work by Geezer is so simple at the start but at the end when him and Toni start their little bass/guitar duel the man's fingers go from rhythm to machine-gun speed Iron Maiden - Powerslave - There is not a single Maiden song that is easy from a bass perspective and I have been on this for nearly a month now and I still can't get that rhythm piece in the middle when they switch the speed of the song. I'd take the guitar pieces any day over the bass parts in this. On a personal front I have started practicing a lot of disco-based groove numbers and the one I am currently learning is Tom Misch - Disco Yes. I'd also like to thank @Inverted for turning me onto Khruangbin, they have some great bass work even if its rather simplistic from an execution perspective.
  22. Done with Fallen Order. Good ride it's been and I have to say I am a fan of the battle system just because it allows you to attack opponents in a myriad of ways and the force-charge is a nice feature to adopt in combat. Mastering parry and side-step/evade is a total boon on higher levels because even the hardest of enemies can be beaten safely once you get these two under your belt. I think EA have done this game some good justice and its definitely much better than I originally anticipated. Now, give us a game where I can choose my force path (like KOTOR) and they may actually have a GOTY on their hands. I'll spend some time running about and finishing planet exploration till the end of the week before it finds its way into the archive folder.

The guy 2nd from left looks just like my uncle does when he sees us behaving like muppets at a family gathering. But, no I doubt it since I am from India and the rest are probably closer to the Aborigines. Maybe you meant @Spike?
