  1. Not to take away from Petrucci but what Dave LaRue is doing in the background is just as ridiculously good.
  2. http://slither.io/ Just wasted an hour on this and I can see many boring hour meetings where I can spend time playing.
  3. That's not right no matter how much you hate the man for what he's doing to your club you don't try and set fire to his house and sing those songs.
  4. They do some other covers too but this one stuck out the most to me.
  5. Good to see him back training and it looks like hes able to play with the foot that was broken too? I will say I have seen some bad injuries putting players out for a year and this is incredible.

Nice read. Found out in the comments that in the intro on the second bar they actually skip a beat and start the chord again. It's so subtle but man once you find it then it irks the living shit out of you.
  7. From an angry guy to a guy who did Ukulele music and then to this. How time has flown for Eddie.

@Dr. Gonzo how did it all go?

I used to have a Pacifica that had such terrible rust and made the most awesome cat screech that I never wanted to lose. Then I got lazy and let the bridge get that way too. Lesson learned. In all honesty that plate does so little to the actual pickup running well if its mild corrosion but you add salt to any humidity and my ears go up when people tell me they've never cleaned their pickups haha.

Try this for your pickups too and you can follow some weird advice I've seen all over where some people use clear lacquer (very very little) and rub it over the surface of plated pickups when they want to avoid rusting due to salt corrosion. I'd just lean them with what the professionals use and from what I am seeing this bottle can be used for your guitar surface too to clean it so its a double nice thing to have. I clean my guitars once every 6 months and while its painful I am happy to say I have not had any pickups develop gunk on them that gets to the point where I think they look like they are going to fail on me ... yet.

Yes they can but I'll tell you a story to make you feel better. So, me in my infinite wisdom, decided to remove the pickguard on my Fender Precision Bass. Fairly simple process that doesn't even require you to take the strings off the bass. I go about my business, removing the knobs off the pots, the plate and replace it. I am extremely careful to replace things in order and do everything right. Put it back in and leave it as I had to step out. Come back home about 5 hours later, plug it in to do a sound check and lo-and-behold it stops making any kind noise. I take the plate off again, check all the wiring to the pots and its all fine so I screw it back in and then find out that its still not making noise. So im now sitting there scratching my head and i notice the knob on the tone control is a bit loose so I push down on it while the instrument is connected to the amp and all of a sudden i hear a little click so I pluck a string and no sound. I push it down again and then i hit a string and it starts making noise. Turns out there was one wire which was touching a non-shielded part and it totally messed my sound up. This is why I tell people its okay to take the pickups off to inspect them because chances are something has gotten a bit corroded and a little wipe and replace does the job.

For the SG if its a pair of humbuckers just unscrew it and see whats going on with it? Chances are something is wrong with the shielding causing the issue and thats what needs to be fixed. I think I saw a vid on YouTube about something very similar with the pickup on an old Strat. All they did was wipe it and then it sorted itself out. If its totally dead (which is highly probable too) then its got to do with the coils and I wouldn't mess with that even if I knew how to fix it. As for the pedal, don't bother fixing it if what its doing is not sending the signal through I'd just have MXR look at it. Chances are something is blown in the serial chain that is causing the signal to get cut. They are also slightly harder to fix pedals just because of how they are internally constructed. MXR should help out there though. I have an MXR DC Brick and it always scares me when I hear noise on the line at times because I always feel like im going to destroy the pedals I own one day. Edit: Forgot to mention about the SG as well it could be the Pot?
  15. Of course not but it doesn't hurt to ask for 200m. After all, there are clubs like PSG who would jump at the opportunity to add someone like him to their roster just because of what he brings to the table. Even if they decide they want to negotiate and we come down to 120 - 150 (still a joke to me) we'd be recuperating all the money from the transfers that funded his arrival at the club plus a profit change which is what would then fund the hunt for future prospects too.
  16. A defender who in the last few seasons has taken a team struggling to keep goals out to two CL finals and now on the cusp of a PL title going unbeaten along the way? If you ask me, teams should be glad its only 200m and not more. If they don't want to pay thats okay too, we can keep him and win more. But I think anything under 150m is a steal and ultimately depends on the contract hes under as well. How much did Maguire go for? And you're also looking at a lot of teams in Europe who will want to solidify their backline with the option to now get a player who can do that and can do it while playing the ball. Yeah, 200m is a joke price in all honesty. He's 28 and you'll get another 3 - 5 yrs out of him as well. Can't see why he'd want to leave but then again its what he wants and the club should recuperate on anything spent on him even if it did come from another dealing. Barcelona should pick this up while its hot and I'd imagine Real Madrid could do it too. We could also all be surprised when he says he doesnt want to leave at the end of it all.
  17. If we get 200+ million for him sure go wherever you want. I think its silly to think he'd want to stay with the club for a long period and in would be even more sillier to think that other clubs wouldn't try and go for him.

I find this to be so true about a lot of artists you just listened to and went "wow how did they ever do that with so much skill" and then in later years translating it to all the skills you've picked up. It's truly amazing how songs that were ballads would scare me because I always think that I'd forget parts of it or totally blank out. Then I'd realize the amount of hours that went into practice and how important it was to always, and i mean always, write stuff down so you don't trip up over yourself. Dimebag is a genius however because you dont imagine those harmonies on so many songs especially with that hit Cemetery Gates. At the end the guitar is really trying to outdo the vocals at one point and that comes with a lot of experimentation coupled with some very good skill.
  19. As @nudge mentions EA did a really good job with Fallen Order and putting aside the light saber SNAFU for pre-orders the whole thing went rather smooth. I'd give them another chance here but we'll have to see what they put out.
  20. Saw an interview with Hugh about it as well. Didn't think it would be terribly interesting. Have you seen it?
  21. News is saying three weeks out but the club haven't made an official statement yet.

Edit: Also hearing Canada has reported its first case?
  23. Normally I'd say this is bad considering who is involved but maybe it wont be half as bad.
  24. I am sure there are plenty of folks who are going places by bypassing checks and thats the biggest danger that no one can really circumvent. Forget about them flying out of the country they can't even control them inside the country so theres a bigger risk of the disease spreading locally and then breaching borders and then its literally unmanageable.
