  1. Yeah, the movie is definitely worth watching. I think it even won a few Oscars. Also if you haven't seen it, I'd strongly recommend Ex Machina.
  2. Yeah I heard that too, but I think that's not that surprising, considering that his image created by the media before was that of "all American hero"... They might have gotten the family dynamic right (not that hard to imagine, given the levels of stress and dedication to work), but in terms of personality, they made a vegetable out of him, I thought. If you watch the old footage, the interviews and press conferences, he was a much more lively character with a witty sense of humour, so I thought the movie went a bit overboard in terms of that. As for The Right Stuff, have you seen the original movie from 1983? That one is great. I enjoyed the new series as well, would definitely recommend it if you're interested in the history of the space programme.
  3. Or how he talked to his kids right before he left. Like having an interview I think it does a bit of disservice for him. Yeah, I thought the launch scenes were quite impressive, very intense. I have watched so many space movies/shows in the last year though that I'm getting a bit confused Especially since I binged The Right Stuff (the series) within a few days and then watched First Man directly after that...
  4. I quite liked it, but think it was a bit cold, mechanical, and...kinda forgettable? Also they made Armstrong look like an emotionally crippled autistic zombie. 6/10
  5. No, still there and has a contract until 2023. Another reason why I think it's unlikely.
  6. Would be an interesting appointment, definitely one of the better suggestions so far, but I'm skeptical as he left both WAC and Burnley after a short time in charge because he got better financial offers elsewhere... Not sure if we're a serious option for him, based on that.
  7. 3 hours into Mass Effect. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but I also just realised that it's pretty much a clone of KOTOR in a different universe. Shockingly similar to such a degree that I feel like I have already played the game... From characters to the setting to gameplay.
  8. Schmid, Bargfrede, Friedl instead of Bittencourt, Mbom, Moisander
  9. Got Mass Effect today! Wanted to buy the new Legendary Edition, but got shit internet connection at the hotel so it would take ages to download as the file size is massive... Therefore decided to get the original game for now (even that took me hours to download, and that was less than 7gb), and will look into the Legendary Edition again once I have a stable connection at home at some point in the future (hopefully). Only tried it for 20-30 minutes just now in order to see how it looks and what's the premise of the story, and I think I'm already hooked
  10. First pics from Zhurong!
  11. Say hello to my little friend
  12. Went to search for a few rolls of film (apparently a rarity here these days), ended up with a new lens instead
  13. It's only 11 minutes anyway... Just watched it, the interesting part was Mercedes internal comms between Toto, tactics (da Silva) and strategy (James Wowles). What was missing to make it really interesting and insightful though was the equivalent comms from Red Bull; there weren't any

Yeah, the dog bit because the second person invaded its personal space and the dog perceived her as a threat/an attack... Granted, it should not jump on strangers in the first place, but that one is completely on the owners. Should put them down instead

Just out of curiosity, did the dog bite directly when it jumped on the first person, or after the second one tried to graple it off? Hope they don't put the dog down
  16. I think most of the issues like that are really negligible unless you're shooting professionally or in very specific situations... what kind of mount does it have? Is third-party compatible lenses an option? The likes of Samyang, Tokina, etc. Also could probaly get an adapter to use Canon/Nikon lenses, although I'm personally always skeptical about those.

Every dog can be quite agressive to strangers; it's up to the owners to socialise and train them properly AND to get involved in such situations where the dog is being protective of its territory. Akitas are very protective of theirs, and they are also very pissy about strangers invading their personal space, so I can see how things went wrong there with your colleagues...

    Lovely dogs, shit owners...
  19. 30 fps electronic/ 11 fps mechanical shutter. Damn, that's fast...
  20. Film developing and scanning day... 7 rolls of both colour and B&W film Turned out better than expected!
  21. Might as well dismantle the club already and save the fans some nerves then... Also Klose can fuck off, either way. He's not welcome here. Baumann said in an interview today that this time, there will be no "internal solution" and the new head coach will be someone from "the outside". On the other hand, Baumann said many things before and contradicted himself numerous times, so that's not worth much, I guess (not to mention the fact that since both Frings and Klose are currently not at the club, both of them could be understood as an external solution, too...)... Either way, hope that won't happen. Just as I hope it will not be Andi Herzog, either (thankfully, it seems he just took charge of Admira). And I definitely hope it won't be one of the failed, boring, burned-out managers like Breitenreiter, Tedesco, Gisdol, Wagner, etc. Based on our precarious financial situation though, it's reasonable to think that the new head coach has to be out of contract to avoid paying any compensation/release fee, or at least their club must be willing to let them go.
  22. Also if you're aquaplaning, you're not supposed to turn the steering wheel or hit the brakes anyway, just hold it straight and gently ease your foot off the accelerator. Doing anything else will just make it worse.
  23. I don't know, I'm quite skeptical and find him hard to judge. Young, unexperienced coach who did pretty well in his first half season in the Bundesliga, but then managing a squad like BVB with all its quality and players who can make a difference is completely different from the challenges awaiting in Bremen... Feels like taking another gamble. At this point, I'd strongly prefer someone with at least some experience successfully managing a club with low financial resources and getting the best out of mediocre players; regardless if we manage to stay up or get relegated.
