Slowly progressing through Mass Effect, really enjoying it so far, especially the story. Very interested in getting the books once I'm finished, as I want to learn more about the universe and the background details. Just noticed that Drew Karpyshyn is one of the main writers, very nice... Loved his Darth Bane trilogy, so am now even more excited. Has anyone read the novels? I see that the first one is supposed to be a prequel to the original game - so I assume I wouldn't spoil anything to myself if I start reading it while I'm still playing the game???

Sorry, I read this early in the morning, then fell asleep again and forgot all about it Well... It's clearly not flawless Robert de Niro's face when he's "talking German" just looks plain weird, that jaw especially.. same with Nicholson in French, thought that also looked weird. Tom Cruise, on the other hand, looked very passable. I have no doubts they will improve the technology in the future, although I hope they don't as a) I prefer watching original facial expressions and hearing original language, and b) this is soooo going to be misused for all the wrong reasons. I fucking hate deepfakes, think we're stepping into a very dangerous zone here.

Apparently, two of the supervisory board members (including Bode) wanted him to continue, two wanted him gone (Zech and Krohne), and the remaining two were undecided. The undecisiveness is the main thing that really grinds my gears about the club's management... No surprises there, really. When you think about it, we have no money, and finding a new manager and building a new squad for 2. Liga is surely a priority now... In addition, the new supervisory board is supposed to be voted in September (if the member meeting can finally take place), so there will likely be more drastic changes incoming then (not necessary for the better, though).

None of them are out of contract, the club ensured that all player contracts are valid in 2. Liga, too, with their wages automatically decreasing by 40-60%. Many of them will be still too expensive though, and I wonder if we find buyers for some of those...
