  4. Ah, the glorious hairstyles and sweaters of the 80s!
  5. With the budget cuts, mismanagement and whatnot, I sincerely doubt that. If that does happen, I really hope it does not fail as at this point, there are more red flags about it than in a communist parade.

I think a lot of foods are definitely an acquired taste... There are plenty of things I disliked as a kid, but have grown to love throughout the years. I don't get how people can say they hate mushrooms in general though, considering that mushrooms vary in flavour, smell and texture extremely, and the taste is also highly affected by the cooking method. You can't even compare a champignon with a chanterelle or a porcini, nevermind the rest of edible mushroom sorts. Seafood I love too... Fish, prawns, mussels, crab, lobster, caviar, oysters, scallops, clams... just give me anything. But a lot of it is an acquired taste or even a cultural thing. Don't think a lot of people would love brined herring straight from a cask, but I think it's amazing

  11. Another example of biased training datasets resulting in biased algorithms... It's been such a commonly reported problem, I wonder if anyone is doing anything at all to actually improve it, or do they just scrap it once they realise how flawed it is, and then repeat the same mistakes again the next time...
  12. China has successfully launched Chang'e 5 moon sample return mission yesterday! If successful, this 23 day mission will land on the moon, drill two meters below the lunar surface, collect 2 kg of material and bring it back to Earth for research for the first time in 44 years. The main goal is to collect samples that are less than two billion years oldin order to study the late-stage volcanism that shaped the younger parts of the rocky surface we see today.
